Dining

  • Night & Day : The Night & Day is buffet dining à la minute at its finest. Chefs wait at their cooking stations to prepare fusion fare to order. The Asian station offers dim sum, wok and teppanyaki specialties, the grill station is where you’ll go for Oriental and tandouri items and the pasta and noodle station is just right for lighter bites. Salad, cold cut, carving and dessert stations complete the feast. Adjacent to the Night & Day is the Tea Garden, a tea and beverage gallery and entertainment zone.
  • The Grill : An evening in one of Cairo’s finest restaurants is in store when you make reservations in The Grill. Chef Eric Pellen delights the senses with an exquisite French menu highlighted by entrées such as Sea Scallops in a Moreilles Reduction Sauce and Roasted Lobster with Cheese Stuffed Ravioli and Asparagus. Renowned designer Tony Chi uses natural materials, vibrant artwork and clean lines to dazzle you with a modern setting. Dramatic, third-floor views of the Nile River add the finishing touch.
  • Birdcage : Everything about the Birdcage is pure Thailand, from the exotic water feature at the door to the authentic etiquette displayed throughout your meal. What will really transport you across the continent; however, are the sizzling sounds and enticing aromas from the open kitchen, where Chef Narong creates Thai specialties such as Garlic Pepper Shrimp, Cashew Chicken and Crispy Rice with Peanut Sauce.
  • Pane Vino : The show kitchen in Pane Vino is alive with Italian voices and Italian cooking, courtesy of the master chef and his team. Contemporary music complements the upbeat atmosphere, which locals and guests favour for business lunches as well as romantic dinners. On the menu are specialties such as Deep Fried Calamari, Tomato and Mozzarella Marinated with Basil, and Deep Fried Carpaccio with Rocket Salad and Parmesan Shavings. A glass-enclosed wine cellar contains the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
  • Sabaya : Sabaya may be rooted in Lebanese tradition, but Chef Nasser Makhoul is willing to branch out with contemporary flair. Mezzas are the magic of the menu, with hot and cold options including Kebbe Nayye, Stuffed Vine Leaves, Hommow Bil Awarma, Makanik and Cheese Manaqish. In accordance with Lebanese custom, you’ll be brought to the lounge for after-dinner tea, sweets and conversation.
  • Cafe Corniche ; Café Cornish is like a friendly neighbourhood shop, but with a dash of Oriental flair. Open all the time, it satisfies your sweet tooth with temptations such as the Ivory Coast (chocolate éclair), the Wimbledon (strawberry tartlet) and the Burgundy (raspberry mousse and black currant financier—a light tea cake). Sandwiches, salads breads, cold cuts, a selection of teas and freshly brewed coffee are available for dining in or taking away.
  • Rithmo ; Rithmo redefines fusion cool in a “see and be seen” bar entered through Arabian Nights-style doors. Frosted glass windows obscure the world outside as you sit at the bar, in plush armchairs or on low settees scattered with Bedouin print cushions. In addition to spirits from the bar, an open kitchen delivers a “titbits” mezza menu with recommendations such as Gratinated Goat Cheese with Sweet Peppers on Brioche Bread. The bar’s specially-commissioned Bahgory original is worth a visit.
  • Haroun Al Rashid Night Club : Stargazing has never been as thrilling as in Haroun Al Rashid, Cairo’s favourite night spot located on the third floor of the hotel. The most famous belly dancer in Egypt is joined by a glittering cast in an Oriental floorshow that continues to dazzle until the wee hours of the morning. A superb à la carte menu allows you to enjoy dinner without missing a minute.
