 Club Villa is
neither a resort, nor is it a hotel. Instead, you are encouraged
to regard it as a home away from home. In a setting that induces a
sense of hypnotic, dreamlike relaxation where every wish is
anticipated and answered by discreet staff whose presence is felt
rather than heard or seen. It was designed by Geoffrey Bawa, one
of South East Asia's most renowned architects and is not so much a
holiday destination as an experience waiting for discovery.
An intriguing blend of functional
modernity combined with touches of colonial period charm, Club
Villa came to life from the imagination of its famous designer.
Undoubtedly one of the island's most celebrated personalities with
a singular vision, Geoffrey Bawa, blends traditional Sri Lankan
and South Indian architecture with post modern elements and has
set a stylistic template that's followed by a generation of
architects since. He is one of just three people ever, to receive
the special Chairman's Award of the Aga Khan Award for
Architecture. He has cleverly utilized 19th century doors, old
stone and wooden pillars and an old wooden staircase into the
overall design of Club Villa.
Club
VIlla has 17 rooms, some deluxe with air-conditioning.
We also offer our special Club Suite. All the rooms are furnished
with classical 19th century period furniture of Dutch and Sri
Lankan origin.
They are simple and elegant, stylishly decorated with murals,
batiks and antiques.

Club
Villa is situated just 62 Km away from the Katunayake
International airport. On making a reservation, you may request to
have yourself picked up at the airport or, alternatively use one
of the taxi services operating from the airport itself to
transport you to the hotel.

The shortest
route to the hotel takes you along Sri lanka's beautiful west
coast, down Galle Road. Traveling through Colombo, Moratuwa,
Panadura, Wadduwa and Kalutara, one approaches the southern
coastal town of Bentota. From Bentota it is but a few minutes
drive to the Club Villa Hotel.
