Kenya is the Pride of Africa within its borders there are great variations a tropical coastline, rich savannahs, mountains  desert, large lakes and dense forests. Situated on the East Coast Of Africa and split in half by an imaginary Line called the equator is the colorful and exciting Republic of Kenya. The Kenyan climates is one of the best and in most up country resorts it is neither too hot cold while at coast the sun filled days make the perfect holiday any time of year. Itinerary For   7 1/2 Days

D a y 01  Aberdares Range : Arrive JKI Airport Nairobi. After clearing customs and immigration formalities, you will be meet by our representative  and briefed on your safari. Journey north, passing near Thika, which boasts  the world's third largest pineapple plantation and Karatina with its colorful market. Soon you'll be at Nyeri, one of Kenya's major towns and provincials headquaters and then on to the Aberdares Country Club .
1230 hrs. Lunch at Aberdares Country Club.
1430 hrs. Club transport takes you to the Ark. A uniquely shaped lodge tucked away in the Aberdares National Park  forest. The lodge's water -hole and salt lick are well lit at night when the animal come to drink and a well concealed "hide" affords eye-to-eye Viewing forest elephant and other game, including the endangered black rhino. Please look out for : Baboon , Buffalo, Bushbuck, Bush pig, Civets, Duikers, Giant Forest Hog , Colobus and Syke's Monkeys. The birdlife includes some species not common in other places among them being : Green Ibis , Rufous sparrow hawk , Mountain Buzzard , Crowned Eagle and the Silvery - Cheeked - Hornbill.

NB : Warm clothing is advisable as night tends to be chilly, but only an overnight bag is required. The rest of the luggage is stored iat the Anberdare Country Club.  Overnight : The ARK or Similar  Full Board

D a y 02   Samburu Game : Breakfast at the Ark. After Breakfast transfer by the lodge vehicle to the Aberdares Country Club. Join your Safari Drive and head North to the main road that takes you through Naro Moru- a heaven for trout fisherman and mountain climbers and Nanyuki , where you'll-began your journey across the northern most foothills of  Mount Kenya , eventually heading north to a dusty outpost known as Isiolo. From here it's a fairly Short hop to your lunchtime destination : Samburu Shaba . Located high above the Samburi river is the Shaba Game Reserve, this lodge Cleverly incorporates the beautiful natural springs as one of its special features , and also offers the perfect base from which to explore the Shaba Reserve , as well as its sister reserve - Samburu- to the west . Lunch at the lodge followed by an an afternoon game drive at 1600 hrs. Overnight : Sarova Shaba Lodge or Similar    Full Board

Day 03  

Samburu Game : Full day with 2 game drives exploring the Shaba and Buffalo Springs National Reserves which are predominantly arid area interspersed with thorn tree bushes , acacia woodland giving way to isolated crags and natural springs cascading in to the river banks. You are in famous nationals reserves set in the stark country in the hot and arid fringes of Kenya vast northern region along the Ewaso Nyiro river. The river's permanent water abounds with crocodile , hippo , and plenty of wildlife including the peculiar Grevy zebra , Gerenuk, Besai Otyx and the comical Somai Ostrich , unique to these northern parts . Shaba is the most scenically beautiful of all. All meals at the lodge. Overnight : Sarova Shaba Lodge or Similar    Full Board

Day 04

Mt. Kenya Region : Breakfast. Leaving Samburu and Shaba behind, you'll travel South through Isiolo, Crossing the northern most foothills of Mount Kenya, Africa's Second highest massif. Batian and Nelion, its twin peaks, top one of the world highest national parks. As you go around to the other side of the mountain, you'll come to the town of Nanyuki, nestled into the lush slopes of this mountain astride the Equator. And it's here where you come to rest, in time for lunch at the incomparable mount Kenya Safari Club, playground to the rich and famous for years - and understandably so, with its lush, landscape gardens, golf course, swimming pool, and of course ,breath taking views of the snow -capped mountain. Lunch at the club . Afternoon -relax on the beautiful lawns of the club or swim . Also available are horse-back riding ,trout fishing, bowling and lawn tennis and golf . Please request for these at the reception area.

NB : Gentleman are required to wear tie and jacket in all public areas after 1900 hrs at the Mt. Kenya Safari club. Ladies are requested to wear dresses or pant suits after 1900 hrs in the dinning room , bar and lounge -and not safari suits or jeans. Please also note children under the age of 12 years are not permitted in the dinning room after 7.30 pm. However children may be served in their parents room at any hour.  Overnight : Mount Kenya Safari Lodge Full Board     Full Board

Day 05 Lake Nakuru National Park : Breakfast. Leaving the plush surrounding of the mount Kenya Safari Club behind , you'll head west to Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson's Falls for its 237 foot cascade. Now travel in a southerly direction to your next destination : Lake Nakuru, coloured a shimmering  flamingo pink from thousand of beautiful birds lining its shores. You'll travel in time for lunch at the lake Nakuru Lodge - affording unforgettable views of the lake from its hillside preach. The lodge also is perfect base from which to explore the lake , with its fabulous array of birds as well as many type of game , including water buck ,rhino, leopard and buffalo. Lunch at the lodge followed by an afternoon game drive at 1600 hrs.  Overnight : Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Similar Full Board
Day 06 Maasai Mara Game : Break. Leaving flamingo-fringed Lake Nakuru behind, you head southwards and turn right at Maai Mahiu to ascend up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then heading due south , you travel towards Narok, gateway to the Maasai Mara and district Headquaters of this part of Maasailand. You'll travel across the "breadbasket" of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barely , you'll reach your destination , Mara Sarova Tented lodge , by lunch time. Located within the boundaries of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve ,this comfortable luxury lodge offers delicious meals and swimming pool , and makes a perfect base from which to explore the wonder of this corner of Kenya. Lunch at the lodge followed by an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Return to the lodge freshens up for dinner.  Overnight : Sarova Mara Tented Lodge or Similar  Full Board
Day 07 Maasai Mara Game : Enjoy the full day in Mara with two games drive included. This Reserve is situated to the west of Nairobi , on Tanzania's northern border - it is the extension to the large Serengeti National Park in Tanzania . The Maasai Mara Offers wonderful Scenery and an abundance of big game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super abundance as existed the centaury ago. It is a reserve of breath taking vistas, panoramas of vast rolling plains , hills and woodland groves, well watered by the lovely Mara river, which bisect the reserve from north to south. The Mara is home to the largest population of Lions in Kenya, these magnificent beast spending most of the day sleeping in the shade of acacia trees. Vast heard of buffalo, Zebra and wild beest roam the plains. Impala , gazelle, giraffe and hartebeest grace the landscape , and the cautious topi may also be seen  standing sentinel on earth mounds  on constant lookout of predators. The waters of the Mara are homes to crocodiles and pools of hippo , the acacia woodlands and riverine forest favored by leopard and elephant and the open savannah and dry bush areas play host to the plains , game and their attendant predators such as lion, cheetah, hyena, and jackal . All Meals at the lodge. Overnight : Sarova Mara Tented Lodge or Similar  Full Board  
Day 08 Departure : Breakfast, Leaving Maasai Mara , head back to Norak, district headquarter of this part of Masaiisland and then travel across the vast plain on the floor of the rift valley- Keep an eye out for heard of giraffe and gazelle- and head up the rift Escarpment on a road built by an Italian prisoner of war during world war II. You will arrive in Kenya's bustling capital city by mid day. Lunch on own arrangements. Transfer to the JKI Airport for your homebound flight.
