Haputale is
situated in the Uva Province and is 4500 ft. above sea level.
Haputale is known to be one of the worlds most famous health
resorts and has a weather which is dry-cold. The Bungalow is
located amidst the tea plantation and Pitaratmale jungle
Accommodation : The Bungalow has
(07) seven rooms including (03) three rooms with fire places. A
Sitting Room and a Smoke Room with a fire place which are common
places to retire after a meal for liqueurs & coffee.
Facilities : The Bungalow has
hot & cold water in all toilets and bath tubs for added luxury. A
fresh water Swimming Pool awaits you in the garden. A mountain
spring flows in to the pool all day and another fresh water spring
is available for bathing. The garden has a variety of flowers and
endemic plants including a "Barum" Tree. Birds are in abundance
due to the adjoining Pitaratmale jungle and water tank being in
close proximity.
A plantation bungalow situated at
4500ft giving awe-inspiring views over a lush green carpet of tea
and a magnificent panorama of Sri Lanka’s Hill Country.
Built in true Colonial style,
this is perhaps the best preserved example of an old British tea
planter’s bungalow. Next door is Lipton’s Tea Garden, probably the
most famous tea estate in the world having been founded by Sir
Thomas Lipton- of Lipton’s Tea!
