Nizwa, the historical capital of Oman is now a modern town but has still retained its typical architecture. This is a town with ancient history where many battles were fought. Nizwa was the first place in Oman to accept Islam in 630AD during the visit of Amir Ibn al as emissary of Prophet Mohammad.
