Ayurveda & Yoga

Ayurveda, the ancient science of life that is still very relevant in this era, focuses on the balance of the body, mind and soul. At Soma Palmshore, a range of ayurveda wellness therapies are offered including basic massages, Pizhichil, Njavarakizhi, Sirodhara, Vasthi, Sirovasthi, Udvarthanam, Abhyangam, Nasyam, Thalam etc.

While Ayurveda deals chiefly with the health of the body and mind, Yoga deals with spiritual health. Yogic exercises with its preventive and curative values, help bring natural order and balance to neuro-hormones and to the body’s metabolism, improving endocrine metabolism. These practices naturally treat stress and stress-related disorders.

Meditation is the attainment of a high level of concentration and reaching out to the inner depths of mind. The path to meditation consists of three stages- Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi (enlightenment). By concentrating on any particular object for a long time, attention is fixed and Dhyana or meditation is achieved. Prolonged meditation leads to Samadhi or enlightenment.

  Palma offers a-la-carte and buffet spreads for breakfast, lunch, dinner, gala dinner, candle light dinner and special occasions.

Accommodation

Soma Palmshore is a luxury beach resort overlooking the magnificent lighthouse beach at Kovalam. The resort has 35 well-appointed rooms and cottages (A/C & Non A/C) with en-suite facilities.

The 18 Standard Double Rooms, 15 Deluxe Double Rooms and 2 Cottages are spacious and tastefully furnished, to ensure that our guests enjoy their vacation while at Palmshore.
