Itinerary
Alleppey
Round -1 night - Start Cruise and reach Kayal by 1 PM. Anchor and
have lunch. Start Cruise Again by 3 PM and reach Champakulam by 4:30 PM.
Stop over visit Champakulam Snake boat, church, village and market and
cruise starts again at 5 PM, reach Kanjipadam by 6 PM, anchor for night.
Next morning after breakfast cruise back to Alleppey and reach jetty by
9:30 AM.
Alleppey
Round -2 nights -
Day 1 :
Board your
houseboat at 12 Noon from Lakes & Lagoons Jetty. After the introduction
with the crews, the cruise starts. Proceeds to C’ Block Kayal. Anchor
for lunch. After lunch, cruise proceeds to Mancombu.. Have a village
walk. Visit
Mancombu Sree Bhagavathy
Temple. After the visit cruise starts. Reach Onnam kara for the over
night stay.
Day 2
: Cruise starts
after breakfast. Proceed to Champakkulam. Visit Champkkulam Chundan
(Snake Boat – Snake boat races are the most popular festival around the
backwaters), St. Mary’s Ferona Church, the oldest Syrian Church of this
region (AD 42).
, and village
market. After the visit cruise starts. Anchor for lunch. After lunch
cruise through Thakazhy, Thottappally & reach Karumadi. Visit to
Karumadi Kuttan .
(An
11th Century Statue of Sri Budha).
Cruise starts
again and anchor for the over night.
Day 3
: Cruise starts
after the breakfast and proceed to Alleppey. Reach Lakes & Lagoons Jetty
at Punnamad by 9.30 am for check out.
Alleppey -
Kumarakom - 1 night
Start Cruise 12 noon and Reach Meenapally Kayal by 1 PM, anchor and
have lunch, Start Cruise again by 3 PM, reach Rani Kayal by 6:00 PM.
Anchor for the night and have dinner. Next Morning have breakfast and
reach Kumarakom by 9:30 AM
Alleppey -
Kindagara - 1 night
Start Cruise
by 12 noon from Alleppey, reach Kayal by 1 PM anchor and have lunch.
Cruise starts again 3 PM. Ellyandu (East) st Michael's Church by 05:30
PM, anchor for the night and stay and for the dinner. Next day morning
after breakfast reach Kindangara by 9:30 AM.
Alleppey -
Alumkadavu - 2 nights
Day 1 :
Start Cruise and reach Kayal by 1 PM. Anchor and have lunch. Start
Cruise Again by 3 PM and reach Champakulam by 4:30 PM. Stop over visit
Champakulam Snake boat, church, village and market and cruise starts
again at 5 PM, reach Pullangadi by 05:30 PM
Day 2:
Cruise Start after Breakfast By 9 AM reach Karunadi by 10 AM, Stop over.
Visit Karumadi Kuttam, Ambalapuzha temple 2km west of Karumadi by Road.
Cruise continues and by 11 AM reach Thotapally by 12:30 PM Anchor for
Lunch. Cruise Starts again by 02:30, reach Thrikunnappuzha by 3:30 PM
stop over visit Coir Village. Cruise Starts again by 4 PM reach
Kamyakulam Kayal by 05:30 PM. Anchor for night stay and dinner. Next
Morning after breakfast cruise starts reach Alumkadavu by 9:30 AM.
Kumarakom
- Alleppey (2 Night)
Day 1 :
Board your houseboat at 12 Noon from Kumarakom Jetty. After the
introduction with the houseboat crews, cruise starts. Travel in these
floating homes is the best way to experience the Keralien life
surrounded by the backwater. Cruise through the Vembanadu big Lake.
Anchor near the R’ Block, a Coconut Plantation below the sea level, for
lunch at 1 pm. After the lunch, visit the R’ Block and see the toddy
taping. Cruise starts at 3 pm. Proceed to Pulincunnoo. Sit back and
enjoy the picturesque scenery as you sail past rice fields. Reach
Pulincunno and visit village market and go to village walk. During your
walk you can see the traditional Kerala Houses and St. Mary’s Church.
Cruise through very narrow canals on canon. Anchor for the night 5.30
pm.
Day
2 :
After
the breakfast cruise towards Mancompu for a village walk and see the
Bhagavathy Temple, Which is one of the oldest along the backwaters.
After you visit proceed to Kainakary Visit Chavara Bhavan birthplace
of Blessed Chavara Kuriakose Elias (15 Minutes walk through country
pavement). After the visit cruise starts again. Reach Nedumudi.
After lunch cruise starts proceed to Champakulam. Visit snake boat.
Snake Boat races are the most popular festival around the backwaters.
This long booster used by the fighting warlords. With more that 100
oarsmen these snake boat glide across the placid water, like a flying
arrow. If interested, you can watch the video recording of the Boat
race. You can also visit St. Mary's Ferona Church Champakkulam, the
oldest Syrian church of this region. After the visit cruise continues.
Reach Kanjipadam for over night stay.
Day 1 :
Wake up and have your coffee or Tea and proceed to Alleppey. After the
break fast reach Alleppey for check out.
