The Aquasserenne Resort, as its name implies, is a serene spot surrounded by a ‘water world’. This unique ecosystem, combined with the traditional ethnic architecture and warm gracious service on offer, make the stay at this 3-star property with 28 villas an unforgettable experience. Each Villa is an architectural masterpiece in which the time-proven principles of the ‘thachushastra’ aesthetically blend with the comforts of modern amenities in an eco-friendly atmosphere and heritage ambience. The wood works were acquired from dismantled ancient aristocratic mansions of Kerala over a period of 6 years.

Facilities :

• Swimming Pool - Finished elegantly with all modern amenities and facilities, in the middle of a natural pond, the crystalline waters inside the pool and the tranquil waters of the lake all around merge mesmerizingly into the blue horizons with the green line of the coconut palms forming the dividing line.

• Antique Gift Shop - Stocked with a wide variety of mementoes, gift articles, antique articles of collector’s value, traditional handicraft items, etc., at the lowest selling price, the Antique Gift Shop is a shopper’s paradise for tourists.

• Cultural Programs - Traditional and ritual performing art forms, like Kathakali, the classical dance-drama, traditional martial art forms like Kalarippayattu, the forerunner of Kung Fu, and other art forms of Kerala will be staged on request.

• Safe Deposit Lockers - These will be made available to the tourists for the safe-keeping of their valuables, like documents and jewelry items, thus taking away a great burden from the minds of the leisure-loving tourists.

• Currency Exchange - This will be a 24-hour service for the tourist so that he will never find himself in need of the local currency for his excursions and shopping trips.

• Sight Seeing Trips - These trips will be arranged on request, using the resort’s available facilities for conducting short trips and doing the liaison work for other trips.

• Doctor on call - An allopathic doctor will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for attending to cases needing immediate medical attention.

• Baby Sitting - Experienced ayahs will be available for baby sitting as and when requested.

• Room Service - There will be an 18-hour room service from 6 AM to 12 midnight every day of the week.

• Sunset Cruises -Every day a short cruise is conducted to allow the tourists to imbue soulful s of the glorious western horizon when the sun goes down.

• Indoor Games - Facilities equaling international standards and norms are available for Indoor games like carom board and table tennis.

• Outdoor Games - Volley ball and Badminton courts are ready for those who are interested in outdoor games.

• Poolside Services - Water Polo for the grown-up and stuffed toys for the children with food service for all are some of the pool side facilities provided.

• Beach Visits - A picturesque and unblemished stretch of virgin beach lies on the west side of the resort, just less than a Kilometer away. You can freely wander along the beach drinking in the panoramic view or engaging in other seaside pastimes.

• Laundry and Dry Cleaning Services - Modern facilities for laundry and dry cleaning ensures that all your clothes and sheets are ready whenever you need them.

Restaurant

With an exhilarating view of the serene backwaters on three sides, the air-conditioned multi-cuisine restaurant, AQUAFONTANA, is itself a feast to the senses. From a traditional whole-spectrum and sumptuous Kerala Sadya (ceremonial dinner) served on a banana leaf to Thai and Country American gastro-delights prepared by a qualified executive chef, every morsel tickles your taste-buds. Scrumptious preparations of Kerala, Indian, Continental, Chinese and Mediterranean delicacies, served with a warm and gracious hospitality of unique finesse, will mesmerize you.

Organic vegetables grown in the premises are carefully selected for the vegetarian dishes. The Restaurant also offers high chairs, nanny service and kids’ menu on request. Prior reservation is advised for candle-light dinners and for dinners on Saturdays and Sundays. There will be at least one International Cuisine Promotion each month. A romantic candle-light dinner can be arranged on request outside the restaurant also – by the pool side or the privacy of your own villa.

Activities

Coursing along the waterways in houseboats or country boats in a leisurely pace is the most popular pastime of the visitors. While moving on the backwaters, the village life unfolds before you without your interference into it, as would happen when you go by road. Rope weaving, toddy tapping, fishing, farming and animal husbandry activities, children playing in the water and along the banks oblivious of the visitors, etc. help you to closely study the places and people even without close contact. Watching the rising and setting of the sun over the serene expanses of water, with the wavelets glittering in the rosy glow and moving along the moonlit waters at night will bring out the poet in you.

Besides water cruises and watching the activities of the fishermen, you can go fishing yourself in the backwaters. You can also get out of water for village tours in the proximity, enjoy an elephant ride, engaged in water sports, drink in the sun on the nearby beach where the public are kept out, go on short trips to the nearby places of interest, visit a coir making unit and learn the process, visit a nearby church, temple or mosque, especially if there is a festival going on, which is not quite rare during the summer.
