The rooms are set in a beautiful and peaceful garden. They have been decorated with period furniture and indian textiles. All the rooms overlook the garden. There are lots of sit outs where you can soak in the sun and enjoy a quiet cup of tea served by our endearing staff.

Village Safari

Devi Bhawan can organize a village stay / village safari in village Umaidnagar also jeep safaris to Bishnoi villages.


Umaidnagar (Fort) 40 kms. from Jodhpur and 20 kms short of Osian was built by Kavirajji the Prime minister of Marwar state in 1760 AD. Ironically by a law initiated by him, attached his property to the state of Marwar.

Initially called Dhakai village, the village name was changed to Umaidnagar by Thakur Ratan Singh's father when his sister married H.H Maharaja Umaid Singhji of Jodhpur ( Marwar )

A village safari by jeep or camel can be organized in the magnificent sand dunes of Osian, 'dhanis' (huts) of local artisans and villagers can be visited along with sighting wild life.

At present the property has fourteen well appointed rooms with attached bathroom, air conditioning, T.V., telephone and running hot and cold water. The following facilities are also available -

Restaurant :
Sit among the pillars extending into the garden. Sumptuous meals are served taking special care to the sensitive stomach of the traveler. Room service is also available.

Unwind in the lounge with a book or make use of the internet facility. Cloak room facility is also avilable.

Accommodation
In Devi Bhawan there are three categories of rooms - Garden Rooms, Bungalow Rooms and Suites

• GARDEN ROOM -
  These rooms are set in the garden with a bay window inside the room facing the garden. They are equipped with television, telephone, A/C, attached bathroom and 24 hours hot and cold water.

• BUNGALOW ROOM -
  These are a set of two rooms which have verandahs in front and are independent and give a feel of a bungalow. The verandah overlooks the beautiful garden. The rooms are priced at Rs.950. The rooms are also equipped with A/C, television, telephone and have attached bathroom.

• SUITE -
  The suites are much larger rooms (27 Ft. X 16Ft.) with a private sit out and Balcony. They are decorated with antique furniture and beautiful textile
