The only place available is the Green Valley, MTDC Resort Amboli, run by team Narayan Adhav and Sakharam Kavthankar. The former is a two-legged wandering history book and the latter a great trekker who has rambled far and wide in these hills.

Right now, all they have are small cottages, which are basic and clean. The sheets are fresh, the plumbing is modern and there's TV in every room. The deluxe suites have colour TVs. A lot of attention has been paid to the exteriors which are nicely landscaped where the red gheru contrasts well with the small flowering bushes and plants.

They do have plans of opening a golf course later but right now this is a perfectly simple Traveller's Lodge which Mr Adhav and Sakharam run with a good degree of efficiency.
