The Karni Fort has a long history. This Fort served as the strategic
outpost of the Sisodia Rajputs. The Sisodias were known to be stubborn
patriots who put up heroic resistance to invasions in the 16th century.

distinct Fort, situated amidst the rolling hills, ravines and passes of
the Aravalli Hills.

Karni Fort at Bambora has witnessed some of the epoch battles fought by

Ranzab Khan and his army was defeated conclusively. The Maharana granted
the Jagir of Bambora to Sanwat Singh. The historic fort has been
recently restored and converted into a heritage hotel by Thakur Sunder
