Sonam
Palgey has its origin rooted in the Royal Heritage of Sikkim. Elephant
Mansion was built for royal guests during the coronation of Sikkim’s
last King Palden Thondup Namgyal in 1963. The name “Elephant Mansion”
is derived from it’s being the largest structure of its time, with a
snout like facade. Located in the heart of the city, it is minutes away
from the bustling hub of the capital, Gangtok.
The
cultural heritage and tradition of Sikkim is fabricated in the vision of
Sonam Palgey, which is reflected in every aspect of service the Royal
Heritage Hotel offers.
The
hotel boasts of 32 sunlit, well-appointed rooms and suites. Guests can
enjoy the morning panoramic view of Mt. Kanchenzonga over a cup of coffee
