Laika
is spread across two levels with a total of eight independent bedrooms,
lounge spaces and dinning area.
Laika promises a journey into historical times and places, adorned with
old Kerala beds, hand painted tiled mosaic tables from the Portuguese
era of Goa and window louvers from Bangalore's old mansions. The
wood on the gates bear the marks of a thousand trains, for they are from
the Indian Railways History.
The Naming Of
Laika
The word 'Laika' rolls off the tongue as the erotic touch of a woman.
Sweet and unforgettable, it conjures up a sense of beauty amongst the
wild. Perhaps the secret behind Kyler England's song 'Laika',
which she wrote for 'A Flower Grows in Stone' whilst on the road with
her guitar.
Laika, the flower, is delicate, beautiful, innocent and sensual all
rolled into one. It's about creativity, art and experiences - to be
remembered for time eternity. This was the feeling Laika, our Boutique
Stay Resort, evoked in me and I hope that your Laika experience will
live up to the magic of its name.
