Handicrafts of the Region : Silver filigree, Stone and Wood carving,Patta paintings, Tie and Dye textiles, bamboo basketry, brass and bell metal work, horn work, and many other famous handicrafts of Orissa can be selected as souvenirs from the local markets. Purchases can be made from Utkalika (run by the Department of Handicrafts) or at the many privately run shops.

Puri 

Handicrafts of the region : Soap Stone, Sea-shell, Pattachitras and Palm Leaf paintings, Horn work, Wood carvings, and Solapith work can be purchased from Puri.

Fairs and Festivals of the region : Puri offers a plethora of colourful fairs and festivals round the year. However the Ratha Yatra or Car Festival, Puri Beach Festival, Ganesh Puja, and Jhulana Jatra are among the more widely celebrated ones.

Konark

Handicrafts of the region : Stone and Wood carvings, Patta paintings, the famous applique work of Pipli, and many other handicrafts of Orissa can be selected as souvenirs from the local market.

Fairs and Festivals of the region : Magha Saptami which is also called Chandrabhaga Mela is the most popular festival (in the month of February) when lakhs of pilgrims from various parts of India and abroad visit this place. Tourism festival known as Konark Dance Festival is held here from 1st-5th December every year in the "Open Air Auditorium" with the Sun Temple as the back drop.
