Aquarium Tank
The 10-million litre Dubai Aquarium tank,
located on the Ground Level of The Dubai Mall, is the largest suspended
aquarium in the world.
It houses over 33,000 aquatic animals, comprising over 140 species. Over
400 Sharks and Rays live in this tank, including the largest collection
of Sand Tiger Sharks in the world.
There are numerous ways for visitors to experience the main Aquarium
tank, which measures 51 metres in length, 20 metres in depth and 11
metres in height.
• The main Guinness World Record-winning acrylic panel in front of the
tank provides free viewing to the public from all 3 levels of the mall
• The 48 metre walk-through Tunnel provides 270 degree views from 11
metres below the surface of the tank
• Visitors can go on a Glass-bottom boat ride, providing unique views of
the tank from beneath their feet
• Those who want to experience a dip in the tank can opt for a Cage
Snorkeling Experience
• And for the adventurous ones, a Shark Dive is a once in a lifetime
opportunity, bringing you within inches of a large variety of sharks and

Aquarium Tunnel
An enormous diversity of marine species inhabit the open
ocean.
Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo recreates this fascinating environment
in near-perfect detail and gives you the opportunity to walk right
through it.
Located on the Ground Floor of The Dubai Mall, the
48-metre long Aquarium tunnel takes you 11 metres under the surface.
Watch our divers feed the Sharks and Rays throughout the day and meet an
Aquarium Educator who will share these amazing animals’ underwater
secrets with you.
Underwater Zoo
Continue your journey at Underwater Zoo and learn more
about what amazing creatures inhabit both our rivers and oceans.
Located on Level Two above the Aquarium tank, Underwater Zoo leads you
through three ecological Zones; Rainforest, Rocky Shore and Living
Ocean.
Watch out for these aquatic creatures at Underwater Zoo: Otters,
Piranha, Humbolt Penguins, Giant Pacific Octopus, Caiman Crocodiles,
Lionfish, Stonefish, Horseshoe Crabs, Giant Spider Crabs, Leafy
Seadragons, Seahorses, Garden Eels, Archerfish, Arapaima, Water Rats,
Paddlefish, Cichlids, Nautilus and many more amazing aquatic animals in
40 individual aquatic displays.
Look straight down into the 10-million litre tank on a Glass Floor
hovering above the aquarium! Kids love it!
Also you may catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse at Aquarium life, where
our curatorial staff prepare fish food, our divers get ready to take the
plunge and our brave customers opt for a Shark Dive.
At Underwater Zoo, you can ride the Glass-Bottom Boats*; reach out and
touch our Rock Pool inhabitants; and catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse
at the Aquarium Viewing Panel.

Rainforest
Imagine walking along the banks of a pristine river bed surrounded by
some of the most incredible freshwater animals alive. Dangerous Piranha,
Giant Catfish, playful Otters and Water Rats are just some of the
animals you'll meet here.
Rocky Shore
This is where the land meets the sea, a rugged, harsh environment where
only the tough survive. In our Rocky Shore, visit a Humboldt Penguin
colony and view several Giant Spider Crabs. If you don't mind getting
your hands wet, you can also reach out and touch some of the more hardy
rock pool inhabitants.
Living Ocean
The ocean's most venomous fish can also be the most fascinating. Our
Living Ocean display showcases graceful Sea Jellies, tangled Moray Eels
and enchanting Sea Dragons, to name a few.

Shark Feeding
Dinner time at the Aquarium is never dull. Every day at 4pm* our team of
divers dive in to our 10-million litre tank and feed our resident
Sharks. Don’t try this at home! Make sure you purchase your Aquarium
Tunnel ticket for the best vantage point from 11 metres under the
surface!
Ray Feeding
Watch these graceful creatures fly through the water and eat from our
diver’s hands. Daily Ray Feeding at 10am and 2pm*
Fish Feeding
Watch our divers disappear before your eyes as thousands of fish
surround them during meal times! Daily Fish Feeding at 7.30pm*
Underwater Zoo
Hourly Animal Presentations
Our experienced Educators are positioned throughout Dubai Aquarium &
Underwater Zoo to answer any of your questions. They will also conduct
hourly presentations with our Otters, Water Rats, Sharks and Penguins.

Glass Bottom boat Rides
Gain
a whole new perspective through our Glass-bottom Boat rides at Dubai
Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. You and your friends can ride on the surface
of the world’s largest suspended tank containing 10 million litres of
water!
Enjoy a bird’s eye view of over 33,000 aquatic animals, featuring over
70 species, including Sharks and Rays! All you have to do is sit back,
relax and enjoy your guided tour.
For Glass-Bottom Boat Rides, make your way to Underwater Zoo on Level 2.
Rides depart every 10 to 20 minutes. With a capacity of 10 people per
boat, departure time is subject to availability.
Children 2 years and below are not permitted to ride the Glass-Bottom
Boats.

Dive
with the world’s ultimate predator
10,000 pounds of lean muscle, 10,000 razor sharp teeth, 100 million
years in the making. Are you ready to come face-to-face with the world’s
ultimate predator?
Dive into the depths of our 10-million litre tank and experience the
thrill of a lifetime by coming face-to-face with the largest collection
of Sand Tiger Sharks in the world.
Anyone can experience the Shark Dive at Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo:
whether you are a certified diver ; whether you’ve never dived before ;
or even if you don’t know how to swim!
Daily dives
Three Shark Dives are held daily, allowing up to four divers in each
group to explore the wonders of the underwater world.
Qualified instructors
A dive master and dive instructor supervises every dive, and will assist
you throughout the experience.
For certified divers
If you already have certification with a recognised dive institution,
you can present it to dive immediately
For non-certified divers
Non-certified divers and even those who don’t know how to swim, can
still enjoy the experience by completing a short course at Al Boom
Diving.
Minimum age
Divers must be at least 10 years of age.
Equipment provided
A full set of equipment is included in the package. Swimsuits are
available at an additional cost.
