Audio Compass is a division of Ras Maestros Technology Pvt Ltd. We are a full service cultural interpretation provider, offering audio and multimedia tour design and development, technology support, and site operations. Our audio and multimedia tours are accessible to over 7 million tourists annually at UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort, corporate campuses, museums, and city tours. We are headquartered in Mumbai, India, and have offices around the country. We work closely with our clients to ensure that their needs and their visitors’ needs are met in a cost effective and innovative manner.

Services

• Hardware and Technology - Audiocompass provides different technology solutions for different clients, based on client needs and their budgets. We use cutting edge technology where needed. Our technology blends into the background, our design philosophy is that visiting a site should be about experiencing it, rather than figuring out the hardware. To that end, all Audiocompass hardware is designed with minimum intervention, low-cost maintenance at the forefront of our minds. As far as possible, parts are interchangeable and industry-standard. Spare parts can be ordered directly from us and require no technical knowledge or site visits to deploy.

• Audio and Multimedia Tours - Every site has a story to tell. We tell those stories by bringing sites to life with audio, video, sound effects, and interviews. We take a site, and convert it into an experience for visitors. Our creative goal is to provide visitors and travelers with an experience that enriches not just their visit to the site, but remains with them through their travels and beyond. We have brought alive the Mughal dynasty and the love story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal in our tours at the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. We’ve interplayed passion with artistic excellence at Khajurao.

• Group Tour Systems - Audio Compass’ Group Tour System (“GTS”) introduced in India is an innovative system which consists of a transmitter for the tour guide and a receiver for each group visitor. GTS works on license free low radio frequency. In a GTS, the tour leader or tour guide speaks through a transmitter and group visitors can hear the guide through an earphone connected to their receiver. The system allows multiple groups to use the system at the same time on different frequency channels, and it works within a small radius of 15-20 meters only.

Professional Services

• On Site operations - We offer a full range of on-going operational support to sites. This can include providing and managing a full crew of administrative, sales, distribution and cash management personnel, to regularly scheduled visits by our local manager. We do whatever is necessary to ensure that every aspect of our service is running smoothly.

• Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) clearance - The Audio Compass team are careful and experienced in negotiating rights clearances with a variety of bodies and across a multitude of media.

• Warranty and Extended Warranty - We offer an unconditional two year warranty on AudioCompass hardware. If during a two year period the hardware fails, it will be replaced free of charge (subject to shipping cost). From year three onwards we offer warranty at an additional annual fee.

• Insurance - For a small premium and deductible, we offer insurance on all Audio Compass provided hardware against loss, theft, damage, and so on.

Tours

Taj Mahal - Taj Mahal, built over 400 years ago by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, is one of the wonders of the world. Experience it with an AudioCompass multimedia tour.

• Step 1 - Pay and pick up a receipt. This can be done at several hotels in the Agra area, and at the East & West gates to the Taj Mahal, right by ticket booth. If you happen to visit the Agra Fort first, you can pre-pay for your Taj Mahal tour there. To save you some time, you can even pay for an audio guide and your entry ticket to the Taj Mahal at the AudioCompass booth.

• Step 2 - Exchange your receipt and provide us with a photo ID or an acceptable cash/credit card deposit to pick up your AudioCompass device. This can be done after the security checkpoint in the central courtyard of the Taj Mahal complex.

Agra Fort

Agra Fort, a walled city within a city and a palace of strength and luxury. Experience this UNESCO World Heritage site with an AudioCompass multimedia tour. You can pick up your AudioCompass tour for the Agra Fort from the AudioCompass booth, right near the ticket counter inside the Agra fort.
