 A few minutes north of
Baga are the spectacular red cliffs of Anjuna and Vagatore offering some
of the most spectacular views of the Arabian Sea. The beaches of Anjuna
were made famous by the Flower Children of the 60s. They created the
wonderful and cosmopolitan atmosphere with the incredible Saturday night
bazaar, the Wednesday flea market, crazy rave parties, cozy beach bars,
great bakeries and food shacks all along the splendid Anjuna - Vagatore
coastline.
In sheer contrast, down a
quiet lane is Casa Anjuna. This majestic old Portuguese mansion has been
converted into a luxury boutique hotel. There are 19 rooms and is
located 200 metres from Anjuna beach.
