In 1996, we bought an old farm house in Assagao's Valley of Flowers, a serene setting with a generous garden filled with mango, teak and coconut palms. But it’s not just a feast for the eyes. Our experienced chefs Shalini and Ranjita and their team know what it takes to please our guests with Goan and western cuisine. Fresh seafood and hearty, well-seasoned local dishes will soon having you settling into warm well-being. Our cuisine is fresh and healthy, and we prepare Ayurvedic vegetarian dishes on request. Crisp salads, fresh fruit every day and organic ingredients round out the picture. We have a small but well-stocked house bar for small celebrations and dinner parties – often with live music. Our large swimming pool is in the garden, as is our spectacular meditation and rest deck, with its sweeping view over the rice paddies toward Anjuna Beach and the ruins of Chapora Fort. Our fresh-water pool is not only a refreshing delight in the daytime – floating in the warm water under a canopy of Southern stars is a special experience. Water buffaloes grazing in the rice paddies accompanied by gleaming white herons add to the sense of tranquility. The morning songs of the kingfishers and cockatoos, the restless chipmunks in the ancient mango trees and the occasional mating calls of the toads underscore the idyllic tropical setting.

 

Sports

• Beach Jogging - We frequently get together on our favorite beach in Asvem in the late afternoon for relaxed beach jogging. Our regular routes are 8 and 12 km, into the sunset on firm sand, followed by a swim in the warm ocean – a celebration for your body and spirit. Free climbing (Hampi boulders), Rafting (in the jungles of Karnataka), Beach Paragliding (Arambol), Working Out at the Local Gym, Biking on our 500cc Enfields.

• Mountain Biking - We're serious mountain bikers, regularly riding 20 to 30 km tours with our guests, and taking extended tours through the deep jungles of the Western Ghats or the placid Goan countryside. Our guests can take their pick of our Shimano MTBs with a range of frame sizes. Individual tours can be arranged, as well as a drop-off and pickup service with our jeeps.

• Swimming - Swimming in our romantic pool –12 meters long and up to 2.2 meters deep.

• Badminton - We play every day on our own badminton court in the garden. Players of all levels are available as partners and coaches.

Excursions

We have everything you need to combine your relaxed stay at the beach with trips to explore the Goan and southern Indian hinterland: rentals of classic Enfield Bullet motorcycles with touring gear, service packages and insurance for individual use, as well as assistance in planning your trips from our local guides.

Reservations in selected hotels in Goa and southern India, organization of airport transfers and flight reconfirmations.

We also organize excursions over several days and guided motorcycle and jeep tours through southern India. The tours explore the mountainous Western Ghats on their way to the cave temples of Badami and the ruins of Hampi, the capital of the early medieval Vijayanagar Empire with its 1,000 abandoned temples. Heading south, they include the fairy-tale Maharaja's residence in Mysore, the lush green coffee plantations of the Coorg region, and wind their way up the 2,600-meter Dottabetta Peak in the blue hills of the Nilgiri Range. They also feature jungle and wildlife adventures in some of India's finest national parks – and serious cruising on rugged tracks and country lanes.
