Welcome to 30 Assagao, a
small, exclusive, Guest House located in the ,charming village of
Assagao. 30 Assagao is a boutique style Guest House / Bed & Breakfast
and a stylish, peaceful, intimate and attractive space away from the
busy beach belt yet having quick and easy access to it. Assagao, dates
back to the peak of the Portuguese period. The local church, St.
Cajetan's, was built in 1776 while many neighboring houses date back
over 300 years. For those interested in Goan architecture an early
morning or evening walk through the village is charming and interesting.
There are four stylish but
simple guest rooms on two floors. Two rooms face the swimming pool and
rear gardens, while two face the terraced front garden. Each room has an
attached bath and a private veranda besides sharing a large common
veranda on each of the two floors. The spaces are simple but exclusive ,
modern and functional.

The atmosphere is cool ,stylish and spacious and has been created using
local materials and craftsmen in a contemporary, eclectic style
reflecting the aesthetics of the owner. The beautiful textiles used are
a modern interpretation of traditional Indian block printing created by
Alice von Baum.
Food and Drink
30 Assagao is a Homestay / Bed and
breakfast.

Breakfast will be served between 8.30am
and 10am.
It includes a choice of freshly brewed coffee, high quality Indian
black and herbal teas, seasonal fresh fruit juices or fruit salad,
freshly baked Goan and organic whole-wheat breads, butter, jam, eggs
or cereal.

For lunch and dinner there are many
restaurants on the beaches and in the neighboring villages serving
good Western and Indian food. We are happy to recommend our
favorites.

A choice of beverages is available. We
provide safe, filtered drinking water free of charge in order to
reduce the use of plastic bottles which pose a serious problem to
the environment. Please ask and we will provide you bottles to take
to the beach.

Self drive car and scooter rentals can
be arranged.
A more relaxed way to get around is to hire a chauffeur driven car for
a minimal difference in price.

Massage, Reflexology, Yoga, etc. can be
arranged on request. Please indicate when booking if you are
interested.

with Internet access, however, connections can be slow.

Alice von Baum creations with soul -
reflecting timelesness, love for detail and quality.
Trained in interior architecture and
design, Alice has made her passion for textiles into her vocation. For
many years now, she has been designing and producing her own hand block
printed range of upmarket garments and interior furnishings in India.
The rooms in 30 Assagao are decorated in
the latest, exclusive furnishing textiles and accessories of her range
and can be bought and played with in the casual and relaxed lounge of
the guesthouse. A small range of summer and lounge clothes are also
available, which can add to the fun of a stay in Goa.
The entire range can be bought in Rangeela, Candolim or in her store in
Munich, Germany.
Accessibility
By
Road
The Landmark is St. Cajetans Church. The
road from the airport goes via Mapusa. The taxi should take the main
road from Mapusa towards Anjuna passing DMC College & Astoria Hotel. The
house is on the main road and is approx. 4 kms from Mapusa. There is a
white sign board showing St. Cajetans Church - the taxi should pull up
20 meters after passing this. The house is on the right hand side of the
road.

Air
Our Homestay/Bed & Breakfast is in the
lovely village of Assagao which is situated in Bardez district of north
Goa between Mapusa in the east and Chapora, Vagator and Anjuna villages
in the west. The drive from Dabolim Airport is approx. 50 kms and takes
on average one hour and a half hours.
Taxi services can be arranged on request.
