| FORT AGUADA, CANDOLIM Fort Aguada Fort Aguada was built by the Portuguese in 1612. The old lighthouse is good for the views it offers. (It can be visited from 4 to 5.30 pm.) You can also visit the dungeons. To the east is Aguada Jail. Sinquerim is the beach below the fort. Candolim Beach is further north. Water sports are available at the Goan Banana and the Taj Holiday Village including para-sailing and jet skis.
