The
'Solita' is a 42 ft fiberglass motor yacht with easy seating capacity
for 27 passengers on the flybridge, rear and front decks with excellent
viewing from all angles. Beneath the spacious deck are the beautifully
handcrafted teak interiors. There is a large lounge room with a stereo
system, fully equipped pantry, two bedroom cabins with attached toilets
cum shower. There is a well-stocked bar with mineral water, soft drinks
beer, Indian wines and champagne and all types of Indian liquor. Our
stewards are well trained in making cocktails.
Being the most luxurious yacht in Goa,
the 'Solita' has drawn an exclusive clientele from India and abroad.
There have been many favourable write-ups in the national newspapers and
life-style magazines so, slowly, a cruise on the yacht has become a must
on the itinerary of the more affluent travellers to Goa. In fact, the
'Solita' has become somewhat of a legend in Goa with a song written
about her by India's premier rock star,
Remo
Fernandes.
Remo & The Solita
This is a sound track for the magical
movie which a ride on Solita tends to be. From the gentle murmur of a
purring engine - to the sounds of water lapping at her snow white sides
- to a playful dolphin teasing and inviting you to swim - to a sunset, a
moon rise, a star set - to a huge white washed church suddenly bursting
into view and reminding you of 450 years of Portuguese guitars - to a
most unexpected cremation taking place on a river bank where cremations
have taken place forever, evoking the strains of a thousand-year-old
raag - all these and more are the gifts of Solita. But her greatest gift
to you, if you will only take the time to quieten your mind and look
around as she sails, is the Gift of peace.
