the tents and pyramid feature solar halogen lighting, natural composting
toilets and waste management using EM (effective micro organisms). the
hot showers get their heat directly from the sun. where possible
buildings are constructed from locally sustainable materials such as
mud, clay, stone, bamboo, jute, wood, palm leafs and cow dung
our swimming pool is surrounded by
water gardens with lilies and lotus flowers, an island with waterfalls
and an infinity edge overlooking the paddy fields beyond . there is a
cabana for shade and plenty of pool side sunbathing areas with cushions,
bolsters and low tables whilst the nearest beach is just five minutes
away by taxi or rickshaw
yoga
is by no means compulsory here … practice, meditate or just
simply unwind and enjoy the magic of goa
our own natural yoga space is available for
groups,
retreats or for
guests' self practice and meditation. yoga classes are
available for everybody regardless of age or experience less than 5
minutes walk across the paddy fields at Purple Valley drop In centre.
there are also many other yoga, tai chi, massage and meditation centres
to explore in and around anjuna
food
is imaginative, unique and healthy using the finest spices,
fresh coconuts and lots of love. organic vegetables, healing plants,
herbs, fruits, nuts and spices are all grown in and around
Yogamagic
dine under the
stars by candlelight, breakfast by the Pool on low tables with colourful
saris draping the palm fringed roofs or eat in the tower restaurant
overlooking the creek with eagles flying overhead and buffalo's grazing
in the distance
Getting Here
Air :
diabolim is goa's airport, one hour's drive from yogamagic
there are no international scheduled flights in or out of goa
for preferential rates and direct access to available flights from the
uk (gatwick and manchester)
we have a special arrangement for our guests with jewel in the crown

Rail
a wonderful experience if you have the time
there are two trains a day from mumbai to thivim (goa)
early morning train for stunning views and late evening for the sleeper
journey takes about twelve hours
plentiful food available onboard
mumbai and trivandrum trains alight at thivim thirty minutes drive from
yogamagic
bangalore and delhi trains alight at margao ninety minutes drive from
yogamagic
Road
from mapusa take the road to anjuna and vagator
up the hill and down the other side
after 3km turn right signposted vagator by the large white church of st
michael the archangel
follow the road to the small cross roads by bobby bar
go straight on towards the blue and white portuguese house on left
turn left into yogamagic at the sign
follow the track to reception at the end

Tents :
seven luxurious rajasthani hunting tents individually
lined with hand block printed cotton, each a different colour according
to one of the charkas (energy centres) of the human body in ancient
vedic tradition
furnished with plenty of cushions and silks, fresh
towels, dressing gowns, natural coir carpets, bamboo , low voltage solar
halogen lighting and windows for daylight and ventilation
a spacious tent sleeps two and has its own private veranda for enjoying
the views, watching the stars at night or experiencing the glorious
Indian sunrise or sunset
tents are pitched a good distance apart from each
other for privacy, beds can be arranged as a double or a twin large 170
sq ft bedroom.
Eco Pyramid :
still a plan on paper but work will
begin in august after the heavy rains so still no photograph
essentially the bedroom will be a pyramid on
a raised platform of coconut trunks with a balcony overlooking the pool
downstairs a living room of wattle and daub
with a verandah gives way to an open air eco toilet / shower room at the
rear
wonderful views with plenty of
cushions, bolsters and silts.
Maharani Suite :
the enchanting maharani suite
is a wing of the house and sleeps 2/3 in luxury
with old wooden doors, arched windows and shutters, curved walls cut
from local stone and a timber framed roof, the three delightful rooms
have a distinct castle feel about them
the high-ceilinged bedroom has a magnificent double bed overlooking the
pool beyond a private colonial style verandah with wicker furniture
in the lobby a comfortable chaise longue sits amongst rajasthani
antiques and an iron staircase leads up to a spacious mezzanine under
the eves with cushions, silks and rugs
the bathroom is gorgeous in stone and cement with curved walls, a shower
in a sunken bath and endless solar-heated hot water
