Faridabad Local Information

• Badkhal lake: This manmade lake is located on the foothills of Aravailli and one of the main attraction of Faridabad, surrounded by variety of flowering trees, landscaped gardens and Green Lawns and therefore provides a popular spot for the flower show held every year during the spring. Close to Badhkal lake is the Peacock Lake, provides facilities for water sports, boating, canoeing, kayaking etc.

• Baba Farid's Tomb: The tomb of Baba Farid located in Faridabad is a popular pilgrimage for local people and  is believed that Faridabad was named after this eminent Sufi saint, who is said to be the founder of the city.

• Suraj Kund Tourist Complex And The Crafts Fair: Situated at a distance of around 8 Kms from South Delhi, it is an ideal picnic spot. The Suraj Kund Lake here is surrounded by rock cut steps. Ruins of a Sun temple can be seen around the lake. The complex includes a beautifully done-up Rajhans, a pool of fresh water - Siddha Kund; its waters said to have healing properties.  Its serene surroundings and beauty is the venue for annual handloom and handicrafts fair is held in the month February.

• The Aravalli Golf Course: Spread over an area of 45 acres, this lush green golf course was designed by the famous architect named Joseph Allan Stein was handed over to Haryana Tourism in 1988. It is an ideal green terrain with elevations is set on standards that match world class leisure traditions of play.

• Town Park: situated at sector 12 in Faridabad is a popular leisure spot of the people. The main attraction of the park is its verdant green lawns with a variety of natural trees and plants.
