Coorg Introduction
Kodagu (Coorg) is one of the most picturesque hill district in South India. Kodagu is a coffee country. The coffee estates here produce some of the world's best coffee. The other specialities here are honey, cardamom, pepper and oranges. The land has produced the best of Generals and able men for the armed forces. Kodavas, the beautiful natives of Coorg are known for their hospitality. Madikeri also known as Mercara is the headquarters of Kodagu district. Fresh clean air and serenity abound this scenic eldurado.

MADIKERE:

Coorg ViewMudduraja Keri was the capital of the Kodagu King Mudduraja in 1681. Later it came to be known as Madikere. It is the headquarters of Kodagu District standing at a height of 1170 meteres above sea level. Makikere is famous for its coffee and oranges.
