Road: Shared jeeps travel regularly until mid or late
afternoon between Pelling and Ghezing; twice daily for Gangtok, and
once a day for Siliguri. There is no direct service to Yoksum from Pelling
but a daily bus leaves Ghezing and
travels via Legship
and Tashiding. One bus leaves Ghezing daily for Khecheopalri
Lake and passes through Pelling, and two leave Pelling for Ghezing,
and eventually back to Pelling.
AIR : The nearest
airport is Bagdogra, approximately 146 kms (about 6 hours drive) from
Pelling, Regular Indian Airlines and Private Airlines link Bagdogra with
all major cities of India.
RAIL : The nearest railhead is at
New Jalpaiguri approximately 147 kms (about 6 hours drive) from
Pelling.
ROAD : The state run Sikkim Nationalised Transport
plies regular bus services between Pelling and Siliguri. Regular private
jeep taxis also ply on this route.
