The Team:

experienced and dependable one. Consisting of people who are permanently
employed and have only worked for ANTREK for more than 18 Years. Of
these 7 are horsemen, having more than 10 Ponies each. Budhi and Khem
Singh are the favorites.There are hardly any places around here that the
guides Jagat Ram, Pyarelal, Uttam, Dorje and Mr. Naushad Kaludi have not
ventured into. Should your birthday fall on a trek at 5000 m and the
cooks Bir Singh, Ram Singh, Chering and Chape Ram would be most happy to
prepare a Birthday Cake for You. Our more than 15 helpers even carry you
on their backs for more than 100 m, especially while crossing rivers. To

Our Equipments / Jeeps / Accommodations:
NORTHFACE make 3 / 4 season high altitude Igloo tents. Warm down feather
double cover sleeping bags. Carry mats. Harnesses, Ropes, Ice Axes and
carabineers.
Scorpios and Toyota Qualis jeeps which are in good condition and not
older than 3 years are only employed for your travels.
The very best Hotels / Guest Houses / Cottages / Camps are used at each
destination.
Treks
For many
years my team and I have been trekking in the Indian Himalaya. Now a
great opportunity exists for You to share in our knowledge of some of
the most fascinating areas of this country - the Kullu, Zanskar, Ladakh
and Spiti Valleys.
Go trekking if You wish, with our experienced and helpfull guides, cooks
and horsemen. Walk the pine trails, explore the mountain slopes, visit
thousand years old Monasteries or climb the tall peaks for a truly
breathtaking view.

Guides
Most of our guides are local, experienced guides who have worked
with Antrek for many worked with Antrek for years. They speak basic
English.

Helpers
A helper will be present on the trek to assist with camp duties.

Portage
We will organise for everything to be carried between camp sites, you
will only need to carry what you need during the day. Depending on
the trek we will use porters, ponies or vehicles. Please keep your
valuables with you at all times.

Water
One liter of mineral water will be provided on the first day. After that
unlimited boiled water will be provided while camping. You will need to
have sufficient containers to carry the water you need for the day.
Please bring your own sterilizing tablets if you wish to use any.

Food
While trekking all your food will is provided. Your guide and helper
will together cook your food which will be varied and include fresh
vegetables when possible. All food will be vegetarian but there will be
plenty of eggs and cheese. Breakfast is typically eggs, bread, jam,
cheese, fresh fruit and porridge. Lunch will be cold: boiled eggs,
chocolate, bread, jam, cheese and fruit juice. Usually a snack will be
given when you reach camp: noodles or chips. Dinner will be a three
course meal, usually Indian.

Equipment
We have modern genuine North Face dome tents, warm Swiss army down
sleeping bags and thick roll mats with cotton covers.

Transport
Wherever possible we will use our own vehicles which are modern,
well maintained Scorpio jeeps. Sometimes taxi union vehicles will be
used.

First Aid
Our staff carry basic first aid and have limited medical
knowledge. It is our experience that trekkers prefer to use their
own and we therefore recommend you bring your own first aid kit.
What you should bring

Footwear
Depending on the trek sports shoes or good trekking boots are
required. Thick socks provide comfort and increased ankle support.

Warm Clothes
Warm clothes and a waterproof jacket are important. Both a woolen
hat and a sun hat are useful. We have some coats we can lend.

Snacks
It is recommended that you take some small snacks to eat while you
are walking. Nuts and dried fruit are excellent and easily bought in
Manali.

Toiletries
Please bring your own toilet paper and any

comfortable outdoor camp - sites have spacious tents and warm, cozy
sleeping bags to snuggle into. Throughout your stay, we`ll serve You
delicious veg or non-veg meals that do justice to the large appetite,
the clear mountain air can create. Our camps have western style toilets
and wash tents, beds in every tent, generator powered lights and dining
tents.

mountains by Ski-lift, Trek, Helicopter, experienced Skiers and
Snowboarders have a thrilling ride, down to the deep valleys.

Acclaimed as the best sport
fish in the world, both Brown and Rainbow Trout are to be found in the
Himalayan Rivers near Manali. May it be one or two days or weeks - one
is able to enjoy the walks by the river and the sumptuous meals with
Trout being the top of the list menu along with the stay in tents or
guest houses.

Rafting
Join us for an exciting one and half hours on a 14 kilometer stretch of
2-3 Grade white water rafting on the lower River Beas. Safe and
thrilling.

Snowboarding
The moderate Skier / Snowboarder, we drive up on four wheel drive jeeps
and also provide guides and porters. For the beginners, the Solang
Valley, 13 km from Manali offers ideal conditions with introductory
slopes and ski lifts. Also cross-country skiing is practiced here. You
can buy any Ski / Snowboard related winter sport options on daily and
weekly packages.
