It is easily approachable by car or bus on well metalled road
from Delhi, Chandigarh or Punjab towns via Kalka- Dharampur-Sabathu.
It is also on route from Punjab towns via Ropar and Nalagarh and from
U.P. via Dehradun-Paonta and Dharampur.

INTERESTING PLACES IN ARKI
DIWAN-I-KHAS :
Diwan-I- Khas-( Audience Hall )Built by
his father Ram Shara Singh was decorated with wall frescoes in Arki,
Kangra, Kullu, Rajasthani and European styles of miniature paintings
from these areas. Scenes of Indian mythology, folk art, European cities
and Mugal floral designs can be seen here.
Arki is situated in the mid Himalayas at 1200 meters alttitude. It has
mild summers and cool frost free winters. The temperature rarely exceeds
32C in summers or falls below 4C in winters. The average annual rainfall
is moderate and mainlyoccurs in July and August. The Palace Retreat is
on top of a spur overlooking Arki town. The Cliffend Bar and Cafe
terrace gives an enchanting view of Shimla, Kasauli and Sabathu and
snowclad high Himalayan mountain ranges.The view from the Cliffend
Bar-n- Cafe terrace is especially charming at night with lights of the
the hills from towns and villages.
LUTRU MAHADEV CAVE :
