Parwanoo lies in the low rolling Shiwalik hills and aptly the HPTDC hotel at Parwanoo is called the The Shiwalik. Just near to the highway, it is one of the first buildings in town and is an excellent introduction to Himachal's Hospitality. Here is the perfect place for the businessman, the start of a great holiday for the tourist or even a respite from a long journey.

Next to the hotel and right on the highway, Himachal Tourism also runs the Cafe Shiwalik and also a Tourist Information Office. 

ACCESS :

The nearest broad gauge railhead is at Kalka, only 1.5 km away and nearest airport is at Chandigarh, 32 km. Taxis and buses are available at both places.

CLIMATE :

In winter, the temperature can get quite low when heavy woolens are required. It is pleasantly warm in summer and cottons are recommended.

PLACES OF INTEREST

PINJORE (10 km): Parwanoo is an excellent base to visit the famous Mughal style garden at Pinjore.

DAGSHAI (28 km): A one time British cantonment this small town is surrounded by pine trees. It has an old church.

KASAULI (37 km): A charming hill station with lots of old world charms.

SABATHU (45 km): Still a cantonment, it also has the remains of a Gorkha fort.

  • For Single Occupancy 70% of the rent will be charge.
  • Before 7 days of Check-In : 80% amount Refund.
  • Between 4 - 6 days of Check-In : 50% amount Refund.
  • Less then for days of Check-In : No Refund.
  • In case of premature departure, 50% of the advance paid for the days not availed will be forfeited.
