We had stayed at various hotels along our 5 week trip to India. It was a brilliant experience and a world on its own. The overall stay and sight seeing was amazing. It more than met expectations. The hotel that was the the best was St Marks in Bagalore, Ramada in Jaipur. The hotel that we were disappointed with was the Chorus in Delhi. On the first 3 night stay we had a dreadful room, no windows and cramped. on our return from Shimla the room we were allocated was much better. We waited almost 45 min to get assistance on a Sports TV channel and then the receptioist just didn't answer the call. Afetr 45 min were we informed that this is not catered for by the hotel. The Tour guides were great except for tauseef Ahmed in Agra. he was rude and abrupt especially after he found out that Ebrahim had PIO card. He was very unhelpful and unfriendly. I would not recommend that he ever takes a tour group again. He definitely des not believe in client service. He only smiled when he was introduced to us and when the tour was over. Our driver was alot friendlier and more helpful. He leaves a poor impression on the warm hearted people of India.

Since my return to Istanbul I have been inundated with work and it is only today that I have had a chance to reflect on the wonderful holiday we had in Gujrat and at Ahliya Fort.

I just wanted to thank you for making such impeccable arrangements for our recent Indian trip.                                                                            We all enjoyed it thoroughly, and with respects to arrangements, everything worked extremely well, from the pick up in the airport upon arrival, to hotels, driver, guides, itinerary, etc

We were particularly satisfied with the driver, Tasrem Sharma, who was extremely helpful to the point of looking after the kids when it was too boring for them to look at more palaces (palaces my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing but the kids are just 7 and 9). Likewise, while all the guides were excellent, our guide in Agra was outstanding. Also, The Trident in Jaipur was an exceptionally good hotel with the best service we have encountered anywhere in the world.

 I have to say the people of India comes across as being extremely friendly and hospitable and we will definitely be going back to India – we are already talking about arranging a trip to Kerala next year (if we do, we will of course book through you again).

 Finally, we will warmly recommend your company to our friends and acquaintances and if you need a reference to put up on your web-site, please feel free to use me – we were extremely happy with your efforts.

The driver in Delhi/Agra/Jaipur  did not speak English at all.  He was also on the phone often when we called him.  For instance, we would say that we'll leave at 9am, and then when we called at 9am, his phone was busy.

The driver in Mumbai  was really terrific and I wanted to commend him on a job well done.

The tour guides in Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur were all fine.  Suresh  in Agra was the best.  However, I really disliked Pooja in Mumbai.  I found her to be argumentative and rude -- and she talked down to us and often spoke of the other "important" people she had guided in the past. 

All of the pickups and hotels were terrific and overall we had a great experience with you.  I am particularly grateful for the use of the mobile phone and would not hesitate to use your office for our next trip to India.   Thank you again!

My only comment is that some of the guides booked on the tour were not that good. In particular the guide in Delhi on 9th Feb didn't actually give us any information on the sites but left us to see everything on our own. He is a freelance guide but I think you should be informed that he is not a useful guide.

Drivers - they were all fantastic and accommodating.

Hotels - Trdent (Agra), Radisson (Udaypur), Four point Sheraton (Jaipur) ...all fantastic stays. The staffs were friendly, polite and make you feel very welcome. I'm impressed with the hotels you have chosen for us.

Ramada - just keeping my one-off incident aside..... I found this was not money's worth. I was not impressed with the service of staff (including restaurant), and the rooms were not very comfortable as the Hotels (above). Even though it was non smoking floor we could smell smoke in the corridor, also (2nd night) we had some rough crowd next door, partying and noisy all night, keeping door open and smoking. We didn't even  bother to tell the reception. This may sound very opinionated, I wouldn't recommend this Hotel to anyone

It was pleasure dealing with you. We were well looked after by you and your team in a very professional manner. The arrangements were excellent. Definitely, I will contact you for future travels in India

Hotel is located on the main road near to the railway station, but without any parking facility. Rooms are not spacious. Restaurant/food is excellent and quick service. Very salty water for all use purpose. I Would  like same hotel during your subsequent visit.

Dwarka is very small town and piligrimage place, a must for every Hindu. On or around Dwaraka there are other places of historical importance to visit. One full day is enough for the whole place to be covered.

The Standard room was really big & the best part of the hotel was the food & the 24 hour hot water for taking a bath. The hotel was out of the city, so there was less commotion. However, we were not pleased with the economy room given to us inplace of the standard room. I Would  like same hotel during my subsequent visit.

We went to Kutch this year. Basically Kutch Mandvi is my native place. My paternal & maternal grandfather's house is there. On the way to Mandvi, we saw Nature Cure Ashram, Mandvi beach & Swaminarayan mandir. It was quite an experience because I went to Kutch after almost 26 years. After Mandvi, we saw Bhuj - Aina Mahal & Kutch Museum. Jan 26th, we went to Hodka which is approx 60 kms from Indo-Pak border. We saw the Great Rann as well as Kalo Dungar. I will remember this trip for long time to come. over all experience was good.

I have given feedback on 'Imperial' & 'Kuber' as requested by you. They were good hotels

Jaypee Palace in Agra was very good so thanks for recommending that. I think we initially book at 'Clarks'

Amar Singh who was our driver in Gujrat was extremely good & flexible. Driver (I think his name was Madhu) in Bangalore was also very good

In relation to Hotels we would not like to stay in Le Meridian - Ahmdabad in future or recommend that hotel to anyone. Basically, we arrived there late at nite & they initially gave us a room with Queen size bed & insisted that that was a King size bed. They refused to come & look at the bed or measure the bed. There was no way the 3 of us could have fitted into that bed. We had paid for an extra bed (3600 rupees) but didnt get that. Eventually at 1am after arguments they transferred us to a Delux room. It was not a pleasant experience.

 I didn't like to stay at the hotel at Chittor. I felt like an unknown person, the hotel's atmosphere was more cool than nice. Even the room was not verz clean. And it is very near to the railway and there is much traffic in the nearby street.

So please don't offer it again to a tourist from Germany. Or you have to tell this person about the traffic etc.

At Bikaner I could make a better experience. The couple {owner} had been very nice. And the room was nice too. I felt nearly as at home. And the campus is very quiet at night.

Snowcrest Manor Manali = Stay was very good but we got room 203 & it was third floor below ground level. Lift facility was not available. Food was very nice & hygenic.
 Hotel Swati Deluxe Delhi = Hotel stay was very nice as well as front staff was very co operative. Restaurant was very nice.
 Hotel Spring Field Shimla = Hotel stay was very nice as well as front staff was very co operative. Restaurant was Good.
 Driver in Delhi Mr. Harvinder singh was very nice guy & i will suggest the same to other travellers also.
 Driver in Chennai Mr. Ganeshan was good but you should provide drivers with knowledge of english.
 Rest in short our experience with INDIATRAVELITE was Fabulous & we will definately recommend the same to our friends & relatives.

We had a GREAT trip. Next time, in Delhi we hope to get to Dilli Haat and Fab India for shopping, we did make it to the place in Gurgaon that has things from all over India, that was great, we will visit in Delhi next time.
Taj was great, hotel worked well too, but the pollution in Agra was intense. I'd recommend taking the Taj express train and seeing it in a day, then car to Fatehpur Sikri and Bharatpur. Also, a fake tour guide convinced the driver that he was our guide, until the real guide showed up. That took some time to get clear, definitely warn the drivers about this. The fake guide did not have very good English but he had all the information.
We LOVED the Bagh, beautiful, peaceful, lovely gardens and the staff were excellent. Great customer service, amazing food, highly recommended. The park was a lovely day, we got a guide and that was very helpful.
Rajkot has greatly improved in 3 years since last visit. We love the hotel (great customer service), Imperial Palace, and will spend an extra day there next time.
Junagadh, Leo Resorts was nice, very good customer service, but again the window in the bathroom did not close properly and mosquitos could enter (luckily this year there were very few mosquitoes). Please note for future visitors to Shishumangal Trust: we arrived for our visit and when we called, they informed us it was a holiday (due to it being a Monday) and they wanted us to come right away (at 11 a.m.) instead of the 1 p.m. meeting. Next time we will visit on a day that is not a Monday.
Porbandar hotel was fine, really nice people.                        All tour guides and drivers were excellent. Support from your office was also excellent

Dec 2009                                                                                  Dear Indiatravelite                                                                    The stay at Kamat Holiday Home was comfortable & all members of my family including my parents enjoyed the stay. The ambience of the hotel is excellent & the staff provided good service. If we visit Goa Kamat Holiday home would be a preferred choice.                                                                          The stay at Hotel Nanutel was also comfortable. However, we found the rooms to have poor lighting & ventilation. The food was costly & insufficient. Although, the staff provided good service.
The travel by car was satisfactory. However, the services lacked on following points:
a) The condition of cars both Innova & Logan were poor.
b) The drivers didn't know the routes to the places of visit & even sometimes showed us incorrect places

Aug 2009                                                                                  Dear Indiatravelite - I just wanted to drop a note to say Thank You for arranging one of the best trips we ever had in India                                                                                Everything was spot on as you had described.  The hotels, the cars,  the drivers and almost all of the guides (except the one in Agra who was not as good as the ones in the other places ).  The 2 drivers in particular Dartar Singh and Biju were exceptional.  We hope we can request them by name the next time we visit India.  I have recommended you to hoards of my friends who are now thinking of travelling to India just to experience the good times my family and I had.

We enjoyed it very much. The train trip to Agra, train to Jaisalmer, the stay at Nachana Haveli (was fantastic - please convey thanks to Nachana Haveli - the best place in Jaisalmer, and Saffron Restaurant superb).

The really relaxing stay at Keraleeyam Ayurvedic resort, lovely food and friendly service at all these were absolutely unforgettable.
