Situated in a narrow gorge
at the farther end of Lidder Valley, the Amarnath Shrine stands at
3,888 m and is 46 Km from Pahalgam and 14 Kms from
Baltal.
Amarnathji is considered to be one of the major Hindu Dhams. The holy
cave is the abode of Lord Shiva. The guardian of the absolute, Lord
Shiva, the destroyer, is enshrined in the form of an ice-lingam
in this cave. This lingam is formed naturally, which is believed to wax
and wane with the moon.

Tickets (Passenger Travel Document) can be purchased across the counter
at the Katra Helipad subject to availability. Reservations can be made
well in advance from any of our offices, or Designated Ticketing Agents
appointed by us in some cities; the contact numbers are given below.
Payments for the same should be made in advance either through Cash or
Demand Draft in favour of Deccan Aviation Ltd.

We
suggest a gap of at least four hours between arrival and departure from
the shrine in order to avail of a comfortable darshan.

Return flights booked by customers get Gate 3 passes on submission of
boarding pass at the Sanjichhat Helipad.

Baggage allowed per person is limited to five kgs per passenger.
