The Hotel Royal Palace was opened in the year 2003. It is directed by an experienced manager who works in his domaine since 22 years. Open from the end of April until the middle of November we lodge groups and individuals from all over the world.

Our hotel is one of the top-class hotels in Leh, the capital of Ladakh. It is situated south of the town center, at about 7 minutes walking distance from the main market area (a free taxi shuttle is available).

From the rooms and the rooftop you find amazingly beautiful views on the surrounding mountain ranges, as there is the Stok-kangri, the highest mountain of Ladakh (6150 m) to the south, and to the north you can spot the worlds highest motorable road, the Kardong-la, at an altitude of 5606 metres.

The design of the house and the interior is emphasized on wood, wooden structures and carved wood decorations, inspired by old ladakhi tradition, to make you feel most cosy and comfortable.

Restaurant

At the buffet in our distinguished dining hall we serve a wide variety of different cuisines: Ladakhi, Kashmeri, Indian, Chinese, Italian (we use olive oil!) and Thai.

Come to the saucers and fill your plate with delicious kashmeri dishes, based on curd and cream, refined with spices, raisins and cashewnuts. Have a taste of italian dolce vita with different pastas and tomato and cheese topping.

Our thai curries are made with original thai ingredients and the typical coconut milk. Or do you prefer the clear simplicity of a chinese vegetable dish, served with rice? Added with a crispy fresh salad on the side?

In our quiet and spacious rooms you can withdraw from the outer world after a fulfilling day, settle and let the impressions sink in, sink into a luxory bed for a good and deep sleep. Dream yourself out of the windows, have a hot foambath in the bathtub...

We offer five suites, seventeen deluxe rooms and eight standard rooms. Cable T.V. is available in the suites and deluxe rooms, as well as telephone in all rooms, all are equipped with wall to wall carpets, running hot and cold shower and a homely and exquisite interior design.
