 Aadithyaa Lakeside resort is the labour of
love of Ashok Kumar, a first generation entrepreneur with abiding
interest in heritage tourist resorts. A construction engineer with
more than 20 years experience in property development, his design and
landscaping evokes the freedom of outdoors within the comforts of the
cottage.
The location of this resort was so chosen
to offer guests peace and calm without being entirely cut off. The
nearest settlement with all the rustic charms of a Kerala village is just a canoe ride away. You can also go cycling.
Spread over three acres, the resort housing 10 independent cottages,
took a year to take shape.
Comfort of the guests has been the
pre-dominant thought in the design of the interiors. The colour pattern
is soft and yet eye-catching. The interiors of the cottages are in
keeping with the native way of doing up homes. Wood and cane furniture
together with brass ware serve to heighten this feel. Hindu mythological
characters come alive in the wall paintings. The cottages afford a
brilliant view of the lake and have a well defined walk-way that opens
into a lush landscaped yard, highlighted with pebbled designs.
The resort promises every bit of rest,
relaxation and entertainment that a guest could hope for. It has a
yoga ‘mandir, the special hall for practicing asanas-
yogic postures & exercises and an Ayurveda health parlour for
rejuvenating Ayurvedic therapies. The multi-cuisine restaurant serves
lip-smacking sea food and fresh catch cooked to order, special items of
the day and a regular menu to suit all tastes. The black and white
lakeside deck is quiet retreat for outdoor dining. A dip in the infinity
pool that offers a magnificent view of the lake is a perfect way to get
fresh in the morning or unwind after sunset. Hammocks slung between
coconut trees, offers shade and comfort, while you sway in the gentle
breeze. Houseboats, speed boats or canoes can dock at the private boat
house, ready to take you across the lake.

- Aadithyaa Lakeside resort is beside the Ashtamudi Lake at its far end,
just 25 Kms from Kollam. It takes 2 hours by road from Trivandrum
International Airport and 45 mts from Kollam Railway Station.
