Kalathil Lake Resort is owned by Kalathil Resorts Pvt. Ltd, which is promoted by Dr. K Bahuleyan, the first Neurosurgeon from Kerala.  The resort is founded and funded by him with the primary motive of extending financial support to Indo American Hospital, Brain and Spine Centre and also to the various community development projects initiated by him for the socioeconomic health development of his people in the village, utilizing the profit generated from the resort. Indo American Hospital, Brain and Spine Centre is a superspeciality hospital dedicated to neuroscience. This hospital is also founded and funded by Dr. K. Bahuleyan under the auspices of Bahuleyan Charitable Foundation established by him for philanthropic purposes.

The resort is managed by the Board of Directors, consisting of Dr. K. Bahuleyan as Managing Director, Dr.(Mrs.) Indira Kartha and Mr. Saju Bahuleyan as Directors. The day to day operations of the resort is taken care of by a team of professionals who have associated themselves with the cause for which Dr. Bahuleyan has established this resort. Ayurveda Centre - A modern State of the Art facility is available adjacent to the pool area. There are separate ladies and gents sections and many types of treatment are available from our highly experience staff.

Boating - Boating is available on picturesque Lake Vembanad – the resort has a speedboat which holds 5 people plus driver. A larger slower boat can be arranged on request. Sunset cruise, day backwater cruise, etc on speed boat, country non-mechanised boat, etc can be arranged on request.

Pedal & canoe boating - The resort has some smaller boats for the more energetic guests – pedal boat around our inner lake, canoe down our lagoon between the cottages and landscape gardens and see the fish and frogs that abound. This is a very relaxing and extremely safe place for people of all ages. The guests who stay in rooms can enjoy pedal & canoe boating free of cost.

Cuisine - The cuisine staff is headed by a well qualified, trained and highly experienced chef with global exposure over 5 years. Apart from traditional Kerala dishes, the guests can enjoy north Indian, south Indian, Mughlai, Continental, Italian, Chinese, and Seafood tastes as per individual requirements.

But, the specialty to look forward to, is ethnic, traditional Kerala cooking. The fresh catch of the day, rich coconuts, and a slew of fragrant spices; the Kerala Cuisine makes it unique.

Swimming Pool - The swimming pool will please even the most experienced traveler. The resort operates a huge infinity pool overlooking the lake. The pool is pristine clean and tempts even the most reluctant swimmer into its cooling waters.

Yoga - Well its something which make your mind and body both as calm. It’s a type of meditation which goes with kind of body art and plan. While compared to all other kind of rumination Yoga is considered as a holy one as it deals with penance and ethics. Kerala is abundant of greenery and scenery so there is a wonderful field here for yoga to feed on. Yoga is a science which deals with all the activities of a human being it’s a wonderful healer of even severe diseases. There are wide varieties of yoga but the major three types are Bhakti yoga, Jnana Yoga and Karma yoga. These three aspects are the conclusions of all human thoughts and deeds. Bhakti yoga means a window to the heavenly enjoyment while the second one deals with the human activities and its controlling and the last and third one stands for knowledge and its enhancement.

Conference hall - The conference hall is fully air-conditioned and is equipped with the public address system. The seating capacity is 60 to 80. The resort is an ideal place for conducting business meetings, seminars, conferences,  Board Meetings, workshops, training programmes,  family get-togethers, marriage receptions, social gatherings, etc, etc

Restaurant - There are 2 restaurants in the resort – The open sided restaurant, overlooking the beauty of the Backwater is perfect for breakfast and lunch. Evening, the air conditioned lagoon front restaurant is open for for the guests.
Alternatively, for those special romantic celebrations, the resort can provide candlelight suppers on the lawn overlooking the lake – insects are not a problem as the resort operates a daily pest control programme.

All meals are offered as buffet style. An a La Carte menu is also available offering a variety of local Kerala dishes, north Indian dishes, Chinese and international cuisine.
