rides around the town; they can even take them to some shops where

Away from all rush of the town, the backwaters are in the land of
Kuttanad. A land of lush paddy fields referred to as the Rice Bowl
of Kerala. When we pass through this green land many beautiful
sights greet us such as the palm-fringed lakes, Chinese fishing
nets, aquatic birds and many more. The boat passes through exotic
locations and gives a close view of the countryside.
Excellent boat services are available through the backwaters around
Alappuzha. A beautiful backwater spot accessible from Alappuzha is
Kumarakom,a 14 acre bird sanctuary adds to the natural beauty of
