A Resort, which has
redefined “Service Quality”. Where the entire team is motivated and
focussed in providing consistent service that you never expect in a
Wildlife Resort, but you certainly deserve… to be treated like Kings.
We are enchanted to introduce Tiger’s Den Resort in the beautiful lush
green and tranquil surroundings of the Land of the White Tiger –
Bandhavgarh National Park. This resort was conceptualized, designed and
now managed by professionals from the service industry. The resort has
20 elegantly appointed luxury cottages. The balcony of the cottages
overlooks the marvelous and gigantic hills of the Vindhyanchal range.
Situated on the fringes of a local village “Tala” the Tiger Den Resort
offers you a location advantage, which no other resort does - You can
walk some distance to view a day in the life of an Indian village, where
the pace of life is still measured by the rhythm of the seasons. The
humble dwellings, the mud clustered houses, the elders smoking hookahs
sitting on a cot, are some of the common scenes which signify that the
time stands still in certain areas of the world even today. Yes, you can
walk around the place by yourself, visit the local school, interact with
the children in the school, and walk with some enthusiastic youngsters.
Visit the local market - basically a conglomerate of some shops, which
are providing the daily essentials. Now, walk past the contrast, India’s
growth over last 3 years is visible in an Internet Café (please do not
expect broadband here yet). Yes, Internet facility has finally arrived
here as well, but only in one shop as of now. This part of the planet is
very alien to you when you arrive but a friend before you leave.
At the Tiger’s Den your day begins just before dawn with wake up call
along with a cup of tea/coffee at the designated time. An open Jeep (a
4X4 wheel drive vehicle with a naturalist) awaits you to take you even
closer to the nature and to see the majestic ‘Royal Bengal Tiger'. We
provide some fruits neatly packed and a bottle of mineral water for your
4-hour safari in the Jungle. All our clients are guided by local bird
and wildlife experts, ensuring of the best possible expertise, after all
this is their own backyard.

luxurious bathrooms. Breakfast is served in the Sita Madhi Restaurant
serving delicious and a rich variety from Indian & Continental Cuisine.

organizations.
There is electricity supply, erratic at times, reminding you that you
are in a remote area, but the resort provides a standby generator.
Adapters are provided in all the cottages for easy connectivity of your
electrical gadgets. Few more interesting things to do during the day,
include, a drive up to the ancient Bandhavgarh fort, a walk to the
Baghel museum, nature walks and a host of other activities like an
in-house library.
Take a stroll in the beautiful landscapes of Tiger Den Resort, our
resident naturalist will accompany you to tell you about more than 60
different kind of trees in the resort. He will walk you through a small
medicinal plant nursery, and tell you the medicinal benefits of certain
local plants. He will take you through “Dus Avatar”, the 10 incarnations
of Lord Vishnu, one of the trinity of Indian Mythology, you will be
excited to an extent that you would want to visit the Bandahvgarh Fort
instantly, which houses these 10 sculptors. At Tiger’s Den Resort we
have them carved specially by artists from Mysore (part of Karnataka
state in South India) on a wooden plank.
If you just want to pick up a book and read in the confines of your
cottage, or the open portico outside your cottages, or in the sprawling
greens of Tiger Den Resort, be rest assured of a peaceful session with
yourself.
After the delicious lunch you again would like to go back to the Jungle,
to trace the Tiger or the beautiful birds of the Bandhavgarh. Inside the
national park, the elephant takes you on the tracks impassable to the
vehicles. The dense undergrowth through the tall elephant grass (upto
2-3 metres tall). With experienced Mahouts like Kuttapan on his elephant
"Gautam", will take you to so close to the Tiger that you can see his
canines clearly and smell his breath. Sitting comfortably in the howdah
(local name for the seat atop the elephant) with Kuttapan (the most
experienced mahout in the country), and his Gautam (Elephant) cracking
the branches of the trees, these will be moments of superb thrill.
Virtually the moments for history, scenes, which will become a memory,
which even the passage of many years, would not be able to efface.

surrounding and the Tiger’s Den Resort.
