This senior citizen's home Sreeyog
Paryatan, is truly (as the name suggests!) blessed by Lord Ganesha for
all its' visitors and guests, as it is infused with the couple's
enthusiasm, warmth and hospitality right from the entrance. An
independent habitat in the Aangan or courtyard has 2 rooms for guests
which have been specially developed by Culture Aangan.
Verdant vistas and moonlit skies :
Nestled at the end of a pathway amongst fields and grasslands all
around, and hills on the one side, tranquility descends upon you when
you sit on the terrace. As you sip your morning cuppa, watching the
first rays of the sun penetrate the clear blue skies, or partake of the
chorus rendered by birds large and small at sundown or watch in the
pitch dark stillness of the night, the sound and sight of the
psychedelic movement of lights when the distant Konkan rail trains chug
along and gradually speed past, it indeed makes it a surreal experience.
Starry skies, moonlit nights and traditional, hot dinner right from Mrs.
Kadam's open kitchen is another fantasy that one can fulfill vicariously
perhaps only in one of our yesteryear Indian films!!
Amenities
A room with large windows framing a
splendid vista where you can usher in daybreak right from your bed and a
terrace sit out where you get the feeling of being amongst the tree
branches by day and under the clear moonlit skies at night is what one
experiences in the room at the terrace level. This room has a very
earthy feel to it, which renders a charming rustic undertone during your
time spent there. It is self contained with an attached bathroom and
dressing room.
An additional room below has a very airy
and cheerful feel to it. This room is ideal for the elderly, who would
be just a shout away from Kadams' own home and for children who can run
into the open courtyard and fields within the property without much of a
care! This room is also equipped with an attached bathroom.
The Kadam residence can accommodate 4
persons comfortably and a group of 6 with extra bed facilities.
