Sight Seeing
Kavdas lake 6km after Charoti on the way to Jawhar, ringed by
mountains. Further down is the bigger Dhamani dam. Stop anywhere, cut
through the forests and enjoy the peace, wildflowers, butterflies and
birds. Just before Jawhar is a deep rift valley on the right side. A
gentle valley is on the left side. These are better Sunrise and Sunset
points than the garbage strewn Sunset point in the city. The Raja's
palace cashew orchards are worth walking through. The old wooden
ruined palace is also worth seeing. A small lake just 4km outside
Jawhar on the Silvassa Rd is nice to walk around. Go further 20km to
Dhabosa falls - truly spectacular reminds one of Blue Lagoon. Bad
roads.
