- Nearest railhead is Kudal, 45kms. On
konkan Railway.
- Mumbai-Tarkarli, 546 kms.
Kolhapur-Tarkarli, 160 kms. Malvan-Tarkarli 7kms.
- State Transport buses ply from
Mumbai, Kolhapur, Pune to Malvan and from Malvan to Tarkarli.
Rickshaws are also available form Malvan.
The Tarkarli beach which
offers pristine waters and sands, is of course the main attraction. One
can walk through the quaint fishing villages dotting the beaches. You
should make a trip to
Sindhudurg, one of the state's more popular and important sea
forts, built in the 17th century and the famous Padmagarh fort.
The temples in this belt are also quite famous and popular.
