 Filitheyo
has been developed with careful consideration to its environment.
The islands interior is covered in dense tropical vegetation, which
provides a welcome shady canopy. Small paths wind their way through
the interior of the island, leading to beautifully appointed rooms
that have been designed to blend harmoniously with their
surroundings. A beautiful beach runs down either side of the island
ending in a calm sheltered lagoon offering safe swimming at the
islands western end, in front of the pool and sunset bar. With its
great diving and well-run Mandara spa, Filitheyo is the near perfect
Maldivian island.
Soft white sandy beaches, surrounded by the
blue tones, with ample lush vegetation swaying in the sea breeze and
tropical flowers make Filitheyo one of the best looking resorts in
the country. Blinding harmoniously with the natural habitat, the
resort exudes a rustic charm, which is through into the thatched
villas. Transfer: an exhilarating seaplane journey of 40 minutes and
15 minutes on a native dhon brings you to Filitheyo. Clients who
arrive by late night flights will overnight in a city hotel, as
seaplanes do not operate after sundown. They will be transferred the
next morning with the first available flight. Clients departing by
evening flight will be provided a transfer as late as possible.
Check out from the resort is at 1,200 hrs. It is recommended to take
a day use room in Male' up to the time of the International
departure flight.
Restaurant
Our international and experienced chefs know
how to delight your taste buds with sumptuous exotic buffets and
creative tropical cocktails. You will be spoilt for choice!
Theme buffets in the main restaurant, Coffee shop and "Sunset bar"
for snacks in-between and a drink during sunset, "Abandoned Ship
Deck" - the popular meeting place in the evening, Pool bar counter -
refresh yourself both inside and outside and Barbecue on the beach
under the stars.

Location
Filitheyo Island Resort lies between two
channels on the eastern side of the North Nilande Atoll
approximately 60km south of the Ari Atoll
Room Facilities
The 125 wooden, thatched roof villas are
scattered around the island. Some are built partially over the
crystal clear water of the lagoon. All are air-conditioned and
ceiling fan and heated desalinated water in the bathroom.
84 Miri Villas (Superior rooms) are with twin beds or four poster
beds, mini bar, hair drier, stellite TV. IDD telephone, timber deck
and partly open bathroom with w.c. And outdoor shower. 10 Miri
Villas (family villas) are for family use and have interconnecting
door. Each has a mini bar, hair drier, satellite TV, direct dial
telephone, either twin or four poster beds, sitting area, a timber
deck and partly open bathroom with open air shower.15 Kihas villas
(Deluxe Villas) are detached and have a mini bar, hair drier,
satellite TV, direct dial telephone, either twin or king size beds,
sitting area, a timber deck and partly open bathroom with bath tub
and open air shower. 16 Kaashi Villas (Water Villas) are built on
stilts over the crystal clear water of the lagoon. They are detached
and each has a four poster or twin bed, sitting area, mini bar, hair
drier, satellite TV, IDD telephone and bathroom with w.c, bathtub
and private wooden deck.
