Beau Rivage Hotel
- Mauritius
| [Mauritius]
[Reservation] |
|
Located on a superb beach at Belle Mare in the east of the island, Beau Rivage
has a natural class and relaxed elegance, without being ostentatious. The
traveller feels at ease here. The environment is always welcoming and it is just
the place to unpack and relax.
The majestic and spacious lobby has a large pool with turquoise mosaics opening
onto the delicate lines of the crystal-clear swimming pool and the aquamarine
lagoon. Thatched roofs invoke legendary Mauritian hospitality and give all the
buildings an authentic charm. The refined décor, that marries the strong
sophistication of wrought iron, pure cotton and linen material and the natural
warmth of wood, gives Beau Rivage a real feeling of that rare, sought-after
tranquillity that everyone longs for.
Restaurant & Bar
Let yourself be seduced by Beau Rivage's culinary adventures-the charms of
colorful local produce and the delicate aromas that make up the innovative
cuisine. Inspired by the various spices and ingredients from distant lands, our
chef, with his long and worldwide culinary experience with French savoir-faire,
knows how to bring out the finest flavours. The art of cosmopolitan dinning is
to found in every shape and form in each of our 4 restaurants.
-
The main restaurant is set under a high, beamed thatched roof,
open to the sides, with wonderful views of the lagoon and the
swimming pool, absolutely magnificent when it and its palm trees
are lit up at night.
It is open for breakfast and dinner, when it serves a variety of
tables d'hôte, buffets and gala dinners. The themed buffets
conjure up all the magic of Asia, Africa and Mauritius
Le Mediterranée has a relaxed air, right by the beach, feet in the
sand. This is the place to try local, Mauritian dishes, as well as
Mediterranean specialities such as pizzas and huge salads. Open
for lunch and dinner.
Under
a buttressed wooden ceiling, looking out towards the lagoon,
Indouchine is synonymous with the best of fine dining, where
French haute cuisine is flavoured with little Indian and Chinese
touches to produce pure gastronomic delight, a pleasure even for
those wary of spices. The Chef’s speciality is pan-fried foie gras
that has never seemed so wonderful, and the Chocolate soufflé is
divine.
This is personalised service as it should be. All guests are
greeted by name and what attention to detail – a little sorbet, so
mouth-watering that you wish it would never end, is served with
the compliments of the house, to cleanse the palate before the
desert.
This elegant seafood restaurant is set on its own terrace,
overlooking the pool and the lagoon beyond and is perfect for a
romantic evening. The jewel in the seafood crown is the special
four-course lobster extravaganza, served once a week.
Under a high thatched roof, supported by massive wooden beams,
with hints of Africa, Club Savanne is the coolest meeting place on
the island. Comfortable armchairs give the room a cosy feeling.
The ideal place to enjoy an exotic cocktail and a whole range of
local and international brands, or a Cuban cigar from Beau
Rivage’s private collection.
The bar is next to the swimming pool, facing the sea, and a
popular meeting place. The atmosphere is one of colonial luxury,
with furniture and furbishing inspired by the East Indies trade
route. Guests sit here in the evening to watch the evening
entertainment.

Honeymoon Special
Beau Rivage has great experience in welcoming honeymoon couples
and in organising weddings in the most beautiful of tropical
settings – but there can never be more than one wedding on any given
day as, on your special day, the team will be looking only after
you. Guests who have a specific date in mind should make sure they
book early!
Various wedding options are possible, including the extravagantly
oriental Royal Indian Wedding.
As in Indian tradition, before the wedding day the bride will choose
her flowers, jewellery and saris and the groom, if he wishes, a
smart Indian costume.
The Hindu ceremony begins in the morning with ritual ceremonies and
beauty treatments in the Spa. There is tea in the afternoon in the
Maharajah Suite, when the bride’s hands are decorated with Mehendi,
a traditional Indian art form.
The gazebo is sumptuously decorated for the wedding ceremony,
presided over by a Civil Officer, followed by a blessing ceremony
performed by a Hindu priest.
A champagne toast follows back in the Suite, followed by dinner and
a special dance routine. Pure Oriental magic!
A hostess is there to help the couple at all times and to look after
all the arrangements.
More traditional weddings take place either in the gazebo or on the
beach itself, conducted by a Civil Officer. After aperitifs, a
romantic dinner follows either in the gazebo, on the beach, on your
own terrace or at a specially set table in one of the restaurants.
A special champagne wedding breakfast is brought to the
newly-married couple next morning in their bedroom.
To make their holiday even more romantic, honeymooners and wedding
couples can opt for a whole range of extras, including a horse-drawn
carriage, candlelit dinners on the beach, Sega dancers and French
champagne.
To make the wedding day perfect, you can also add sessions in the
Spa, a manicure and pedicure and a leisurely hour or two with the
hairdresser.
Certain formalities need to be completed, but full details can be
given to you at the time of booking.
