 Stretching languorously along the silky, sandy beach of the north coast, Legends

Shui hotel in the Indian Ocean, provides a luxurious opportunity for the body

Looking out over the pool and towards the sea, the hotel’s main
restaurant offers a magnificent breakfast buffet, including almost
everything that anyone might want to start the day on a happy
note. Dining specialities include tables d’hôte, gala dinners on
alternate evenings and buffets themed with Mauritian, Asian and
Mediterranean.
The
beach bar and grill is very popular at lunchtime with those who
enjoy Mediterranean cuisine, with a hint of the tropics. It has a
relaxed atmosphere, under large parasols on a decked terrace, by
the water’s edge, looking out towards the northern islands. The
restaurant is also open for à la carte dining 4 times a week. The
hotel’s gastronomic restaurant and the culinary flagship of the
hotel is perfect for a special evening in an elegant setting with
impeccable service. A superb open terrace overlooking the pool
adds to the feeling of space, also reflected in the open-style
kitchen and the walk-in wine cellar. Karma House is based on a "Trilogie"
concept ( food cooked in three different ways). For
those who love seafood, Abalone is like heaven on earth, with
produce straight from the sea brought daily to the hotel. In the
evenings, seafood and pearly shellfish alternate with scarlet red
crayfish twice a week. Abalone is also open for lunch, when its
specialities include hearty salads and local, Mauritian dishes. Grand
Bleu is Legends’pool bar, with comfortable sofas in the middle,
surrounded by tables and chairs for meals. Light lunches come in
all shapes and sizes, from club sandwiches to snacks, traditional
Chinese tea service and dim sum. Home-made pancakes are served
between 4 and 6 each afternoon. It takes a while to read the
cocktail list, full of exciting concoctions. The Bar also serves a
wide selection of local and international beers, wines and
spirits.
Enjoy memorable moments in the elegant and refined Spirit Lounge,
ideal for a quiet drink, before or after dinner. Lounge music
flows through the Champagne & Caviar corner. The atmosphere is
reminiscent of the plush comfort of an English club, with a choice
of Havana cigars.
The Banyan Bar is a laid-back place, under some of the oldest
banyan trees on the island, beside its own pool, with seating at
the Bar itself or under parasols on the lawns.
The Bar’s selection includes fresh fruit juices, beers and
tropical cocktails. At lunchtime, fish, seafood and meat grills
are cooked in front of you and there is also a selection of salad
dishes.

Legends makes sure its guests
are properly pampered as they lie under their parasols on the
beach. Beach boys and girls serve light fruit treats, cocktails &
drinks, and provide a sunglasses polishing service and refreshing
towels.

is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Private Dinning
Legends offers an array of dinning alternatives from romantic
celebration for couples to private dinner party for families and
friends. Whether it be quiet dinner on the beach, or a special
dinner in front of the swimming pool, there is a special offer
available to satisfy every wish.
Cabaret and other shows are organised on a regular basis. Every
evening, guests are entertained by local artists with music and
dancing.
SPA
The spa is the core of well-being, with a concept based on a
combination of Thalasso and Spa. There is no better way to bring
your body back into harmony with itself than appropriate massages
and beauty treatments, and no better way of removing the stresses of
modern living.
As well as the 4 massage rooms, 2 hydrotherapy rooms and a double
massage kiosk, that specializes in a range of scrubs and wraps, the
bright, airy complex includes two whirlpools, a salt water swimming
pool, a hammam, a sauna, a high-tech gym and a hairdressing salon.

- Swimming Pools
The hotel has two fresh-water swimming pools. The main pool, in
the centre of the hotel, and close to the main restaurant and Le
Grand Bleu, overlooks the breathtaking bay.
The second pool is in a quiet spot right at the very edge of the
hotel, in front of the Banyan Pool, Bar & Grill.

Free of charge: windsurfing, pedal boats, kayaks, sailing,
snorkelling, glass-bottom boat rides and water-skiing.
For a fee: speedboat rides, scuba diving (P.A.D.I.) and big game
fishing.
- Land-based Activities
Free of charge: gym, beach volley, table tennis, petanque, drive
range and floodlit tennis courts.
Legends also runs Tai Chi and Yoga classes.
For a fee: Massages, mountain bikes, pool tables, golf balls and
electronic games.
Two golf courses are available nearby.
- Kids Club
Three qualified hostesses entertain youngsters from 3 to 11 years
old. For children under 3, a babysitting service is also available
on request, for a fee.
Children’s lunch is served between 12.30 and 1.30 p.m. in the main
restaurant or in the Mini-club depending on the day.
The children have dinner in the main restaurant between 6.30 and
7.30 p.m. – for the convenience of both parents and children!

To make your tropical wedding a memorable occasion, the Legends team
will work with you on all the preparations.
There is a range of weddings to choose from, including Indian or
Chinese styles, or something more traditional. The team will do
everything to make your day really special, whether you want an
informal wedding on the beach or a more Zen occasion in a beautiful
tropical garden setting.
The hotel looks after all the administrative details and a hostess
helps you to select the flowers you want, a special menu worked out
with the chef and everything else. She will keep you informed about
all the arrangements and the choices that the hotel offers you.
Accommodation
Each of the five room categories has a different design scheme, with
corresponding colours and materials. The rooms range from comfortable and
spacious Superior Rooms to the sumptuous Emperor Villa, which features aspects
of all the elements and has its own private beach.
The room’s feature element is Metal. Wooden fittings give a
sensuous warmth to the rooms, which are resplendent in subdued and
elegantly sophisticated shades of sand and ochre colours.
The warm, subtle lighting gleams almost like candlelight through
the rooms where the dominant Feng Shui element is featured in the
water sculpture. As in all the rooms, the décor uses clean lines,
with shades of blue and sandy colours.
The Suites are spacious and luxuriously decorated in subtle shades
of sand and ochre, blending perfectly with the main element, which
is wood. There is an ottoman at the foot of the super-king size
double beds and a large, comfortable sitting area on the private
terrace or balcony. Each Suite has a small dressing room and
spacious bathroom, with a walk-in shower, two washbasins, a bath
and a separated toilet.
The themes are earth and fire. Each villa has its own private
garden, looking out towards the lagoon. ‘Ming’ &
‘Tang’ almost glow with warm red and orange hues. From the sitting
area, two steps lead up to the magnificent double bed. Each of the
villas has its own whirlbath and a very spacious bathroom. -
This Emperor Villa is Legends’ jewel in the crown, the most
luxurious place imaginable in which to renew all one’s energy. All
5 elements of Feng Shui are used in the furbishing and fittings,
with its simply fabulous décor.
The Villa has 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, as well as its
own fitted kitchenette. It has its own whirlpool and a delightful,
private outdoor stone garden with a pool, a barbecue area and a
gazebo for outside dining.
A very special feature of the Villa is that it has its own private
beach, and there is a butler available to help make guests’ stay
even more agreeable in anyway he can.
For a large family or a small group of friends, a Suite with 2
extras bedrooms is also attached to the Villa.
