Physically
challenged -
Wheelchair
The airline usually provides a wheelchair on
request, which you can book at the time of making
your reservation, or get one directly at the
airport.
The wheelchair facility is provided free of cost to
all domestic travellers. In case you’re flying
abroad, a certain fee is charged by the airline,
which may vary from one airline to another.
A separate lounge is available for wheelchair
passengers in Terminal 2A Departure, near Gate No.
2. Also, wheelchair passengers can avail of the
intercom facility, which is available at Terminal
2C.
Inter-terminal coach service -
The Inter-terminal coach service is a
quicker and safer mode of transport for
International passengers wanting to catch a
connecting domestic flight, and vice versa. This
service is absolutely free, with a coach available
every 20 minutes, through the day.
Domestic passengers first need to collect their
baggage and produce their confirmed tickets before
they can avail of this service. International
passengers can make use of this service only after
they have cleared customs and possess confirmed
tickets for onward domestic flights.
Please note: If you happen to come outside
the terminal, you won’t be able to board the bus due
to security reasons.
Lost &
Found - In case you
misplace your baggage, do not worry. All the
agencies at the airport, deposit any unclaimed goods
in the airport manager office, the official
custodian of lost & found articles. The goods are
deposited after duly recording their description,
date of deposition and the depositor’s signature.
The lost & found articles are returned to passengers
after taking the product description and verifying
bona fides. If the baggage is not claimed within 48
hours, it is sent to the Materials Management
Department, from where it can be collected by the
claimant.
Medical
Inspection -
Two terminals (2A &
1B) of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport
house a medical inspection room, manned by doctors
24x7 whereas the medical inspection room of Terminal
2C operates between 8pm - 8am. These rooms are
well-equipped to impart first-aid during any kind of
emergency.
This facility is provided free of cost to all
passengers, leaving from Mumbai or coming to Mumbai.
CSIA also has a fully equipped ICCU ambulance
attached 24 hours to the airport to facilitate quick
movement of passengers during an emergency.
Unaccompanied minors -
Children below 12 years and on their own are
considered as unaccompanied minors. A legal guardian
of the minor can fill up a form for the same at the
time of booking the ticket.
After checking-in, the airline staff takes over the
minor’s responsibility. Once the aircraft reaches
its destination, the minor is safely escorted and
handed over to the relative after proper
verification.
This service is provided free-of-cost by the
national carriers, while fees charged by the private
carriers may vary.
Complaints
- Your comments boxes have
been placed in the departure, transit and arrival
areas of International as well as the Domestic
Terminals. The completed feedback forms are
collected daily from these drop boxes & forwarded to
the Public Feedback Office for further action.
