 We
are located beside Lake Fewa in Pokhara, Nepal; set in the heart of the Pokhara
Valley and surrounded by the mighty Himalayan peaks of the Annapurna Range.
This site gives a good idea of the standards you can expect as a guest at
the Barahi but to experience the sub-tropical climate, the spectacular natural
surroundings, the relaxed and tranquil atmosphere - not to mention the cuisine -

Facilities
The Hotel Barahi has an excellent choice of
comfortable, well appointed and scrupulously clean accommodation. All rooms
include a private balcony from which guests can enjoy spectacular views of
Fishtail Mountain and the Annapurnas. All rooms come with en-suite bathroom
(including shower and tub) as well as hot running water 24 hours a day,
naturally. We have a 24 hour room service and a laundry service.
Swimming Pool -
Guests at the Hotel Barahi can enjoy all the
benefits of our new swimming pool - whether it's to take a dip in the clean
warm water or catch a little sun; or simply to relax with a drink and a bite
to eat in good company. Other visitors are also welcome to use the pool at the
Barahi (although there is a small charge for visitors who are not accompanied
by one of our guests).
Dining -
Our chefs are amongst the best and specialise in
Indian, Contimental and Chinese cuisine - as well as fine Nepali dishes, of
course. We've an excellent choice of fare for vegetarians and vegans alike and
are always happy to prepare meals for visitors requiring a more specialised
diet with a little advance notice. The Barahi Bar also serves a good selection
of wines, spirits and cocktails as well as non-alcoholic options. Guests can
have food served to their room. As well as our restaurant, diners have the
option of eating al fresco, in the grounds or by the pool. We also provide
packed meals for picnics, treks and other expeditions and can host as well as
cater for parties and other functions with up to 100 guests.
Garden -
As you enter the hotel, the blooming flowers
welcomes you, greenery is fantastic, simply you will enjoy the beauty, try us
and have peace in mind. You are always welcome to enjoy the beauty of your
front or back ever flowering garden, sitting on the green surface & reading
your novels, or for garden dining. The Garden Café is available for morning
coffee, lunches, afternoon teas so you can enjoy a glass of wine with your
meal. Pool side garden is perfect place for relaxing. There is also a
souveniers & gift shop selling a range of exclusive gift items. You could find
out the nice souvenier to take home which reminds your Nepal tour all the
time.
Garden area is well maintained and
gardeners are ever ready to take care of flowers and plants, its really
colorful with different flowering and non flowering plants. It will please you
and you will love to see around.
Conference -
We have the facilities to host conferences and
other events for up to 100 people at a time. We can provide catering,
transfers by coach, car hire and other forms of transport & parking, business
facilities such as phone, fax, email etc. as well as accommodation. Facilities
include a PA system, videos & TVs, OHPs, flipcharts etc.
- Transfers -
The service we provide at the Barahi extends
well beyond the buildings and grounds of the hotel. For example, we collect
guests on their arrival at Pokhara Airport or Bus Station and take care of
their baggage. And when alas, it's time to say goodbye, we confirm your
departure and provide comfortable transport back to the airport or bus station
in good time for your connection. This way, you are free of carrying baggage
or hanging round unnecessarily should any connection be delayed.
- Medical -
Here at the Hotel Barahi we have a fully
qualified Doctor on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the event that any
of our guests needs medical attention. (We are also located close to a modern
and well equipped private hospital.)
We are also able to assist any guests who find themselves in difficulties
whilst out trekking or peak climbing by helping arrange for a mountain rescue
helicopter to evacuate a patient to safety. For information on how to avoid
AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) when travelling to high altitudes, please ask at
our Travel and Activities Desk.
Of course it is rare for our guests to require medical assistance or rescue
from the mountains but we believe it is important to have the right procedures
in place - to ensure that if any emergency does take place, the appropriate
steps are taken to bring a swift and successful outcome.

massage treatment has shown the evidence of curing many diseases of human

- Ayurvedic
Massage: This process involves complete mind,
senses and body treatment. The Ayurvedic massage therapy helps you to relax
the tension filled parts of your body-mind. It helps to release subtle
stress and allows you to heal and rejuvenate from deep inside the body. This
relaxation massage often takes you to a state of deep tranquility, joy and
happiness
- Shiatsu Massage:
A Japanese massage system that incorporates finger, thumb and palm pressure
along the bodies' energy channels. The intent is to release energy
blockages, rebalance and stimulate energy flow. Shiatsu, also known as
acupressure, is a finger pressure massage technique. Shiatsu massage therapy
and acupuncture are founded on the Chinese meridian system. The
therapist applies pressure with his thumbs, finger, and palms to specific
areas of the client's body that have been determined during an assessment
period prior to the massage session. There are no needle pokes involved with
Shiatsu. Massage techniques like tapping, squeezing, rubbing, and applied
pressure are applied along the meridians to unblock energy blockages.

Hotel Barahi offers every evening Nepali
cultural dance on the stage, where you could experience the cultural diversity
