 Pokhara
is the premier tourist destination of Nepal. Nestled in the lap of the mighty
Annapurna range of the Himalayas, Pokhara has a unique geography. Due to its
moderate altitude it enjoys a pleasant sub-tropical climate. However, the snow
capped mountains dominated by the famous Mt. Macchapuchre towers over the town’s
skyline are just a few days walk away. Pokhara also boasts of three natural
lakes that are ideal for boating and other water sports. The Meera is located on
the shores of the largest of them, the Phewa Lake.
Pokhara is also the gateway to the Annapurna region where Nepal’s most popular
trekking routes are found. The town is also a hub for a number of adventure
sports such as mountain biking, paragliding and ultra-lite flying. For the faint
hearted there are leisurely pursuits such as boating, hiking and sightseeing in
the various places of interest located in the valley. The Meera has a travel
information desk which will be able to help you arrange or plan these
activities.
The Meera is located in the heart of the tourist hub Lake side famous for its
many bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. It is the place of entertainment for
both tourists and locals alike. Only 10 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes
from the tourist bus station, Lake Side is the ideal place to stay.

Restaurant & Bar
The Gurkha’s Restaurant and Bar is
located in the premises of the Meera. The Gurkha’s Restaurant specializes in
authentic Nepali cuisine and traditional Indian dishes. Enjoy freshly baked nans
and parathas from our own tandoor clay oven. The restaurant also serves a
variety of continental, Chinese and Italian dishes.
The Gurkhas’s Bar serves a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
A beautiful outdoor patio seating is available to relax and enjoy a cool
refreshing drink. Or you could go up to the rooftop terrace and admire the view
of the lake and mountains as you sip your drink.
There are also plans to open a coffee bar serving a range of freshly ground
local Himalayan organic coffee. Pastry and bakery items will also be made
available soon.
Accommodation
All the 47 rooms in the Meera are
spacious and tastefully decorated. Each room has modern amenities such as
telephone, multi-channel television, air-conditioning and ensuite bathrooms. The
bathrooms have 24 hour hot and cold running water and large bathtubs. Most of
our rooms have beautiful views of the Phewa Lake and the Annapurna mountains.
