We opened Hotel
Sunset View in 1990 after a 15 year long operation of a small
guest house in the tourist district of Thamel. We have put in
a ton of love and labor along with the expertise gained from
our past experience to realize this place but we are more than
aware that it is still in the process of making- every single
day. We work hard for our better lives, a better place and a
much better hotel. We are at your service because you do us
tremendous service by choosing to stay with us. As a team,
from the most visible of staffs in the reception area, to the
most invisible, the cooks in the deepest of the kitchen to the
accountants in the deepest of their books, we value your
patronage the most and want to thank you and welcome you from
the bottom of our hearts.
Our hope is to be a major part of the many reasons for your
memorable visit to Nepal. Visit Nepal and stay with us!
Location
Hotel Sunset View sits atop a
small hill facing Kathmandu to the west and Patan to the south
west. Our Eastward gate sets a dramatic entrance to the hotel
offering one the most magnificent vista of the valley and the
hills that surround it. The lush vegetation and the openness
felt within the hotel compound makes it an unlikely reality
just steps away from a bustling city. Our guests and the
visitors feel mentally and physically transported away from
the city into a calm and relaxing environment offered by our
very unique location.
We are located at a 10 minutes
drive from the International Airport and a 10-15 minutes drive
from the heart of Kathmandu. The ancient city of Patan is
conveniently located within a walking distance of 15-20
minutes. We are just off of a major road that connects the
airport and the Bhaktapur municipality with the city thus the
means of transportation is plenty at all times. We are
situated in an area with a diverse user-groups: our
neighborhood is comprised of banks, schools, small businesses,
eateries, residential houses, markets, a hospital and a major
convention center.
