The Oberoi Group's elegant new resort is situated 8250 feet above sea level in the HImalayan range. The hotel is the former residence of Lord Kitchener of Khartoum. It has been re-built to exacting standards. Shimla airport is a forty-five minute drive from the resort. Discerning travellers can now experience the fascinating Himalayas in world class comfort. A perfect base from which to explore the magnificent Himalayas and Buddhist temples. Outdoor activities include trekking, picnics, bird watching, nature walks and riding. All rooms overlook magnificent mountain ranges, beautiful valleys and dense pine forests. 81 DELUXE ROOMS:All rooms enjoy magnificent views of the mountains. Each room occupies an area of approximately 42 square meters.

Elegantly appointed bedrooms. Spacious marble bathrooms with separate shower stalls. Walk-in closet in each room, personal bar, satellite television, compact dise and digital video players and in-room safes. Two line telephone with data ports.

SUITES: All suites have an area of approximately 85 square metres.

LORD KITCHENER SUITE: The magnificent Lord Kitchener suite has an area of approximately 110 square metres. This suite has wonderful panoramic view of the Himalayan range.

RECREATION FACILITIES: Gymnasium. Tennis court. Heated in-door swimming pool and jacuzzi. Library offering a selection of books, music and video discs. A billiard room and a card room.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Private excursions, hiking, mountaineering, nature walks, bird watching and treks on horse back. Mountain biking and river rafting. Ice skating in the winter.

TRANSPORT: Wildflower Hall can be accessed by air, rail or road. Flight connections are available from Delhi. Connected by rail via Delhi, Chandigarh and Kalka.

Chauffeur driven cars can receive guests at Chandigarh and Shimla airport. Guests can also be received at the Chandigarh, Kalka and Shimla railway stations.

Guests arriving by helicopter can land at a helipad which is a three minute drive from the hotel.

Chauffeur driven cars are available for excursions and picnics.
