Tranquebar
is a Dutch, Danish, British Colonial heritage town of pristine beauty
and perennial charm, situated on the Coromandel Coast in the
Nagapattinam District in Tamil Nadu, South India. Tharangambadi, ‘the
land of the singing waves’ as the town is known in Tamil, became
Tranquebar for the Danes! This picturesque coastal town lies 15 km south
of the ancient Chola port of Pumpuhar, and 15 km north of the former
French comptoir of Karik.

on the Beach has eight rooms. Should you
want two or more adjacent rooms, please make a request while booking.
The reservations office
shall try its best, but all categories of rooms are not always found
together.
Adjacent to The Bungalow
on the Beach is the Nayak House – a charming Tamil House facing the sea
with 4 rooms.
Together these two
properties have 11 Grand Rooms and 1 Tower Room.
Location : Tranquebar, 15 km south of the ancient Chola port of
Pumpuhar, and 15 km north of the former French comptoir of Karoikal, was
a Danish settlement from 1620 to 1845.
