Day 01 -
On arrival meeting assistance and
transfer to hotel. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of
Kathmandu city Capital of the Hill Kingdom. One can visit the temple
Pasupatinath dedicated to Lord Shiva , Swyambhunath temple, Durbar
Halls. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 02 - Breakfast
at hotel. Transfer to airport to board flight for Bhairawa on
arrival proceed to Lumbini. Lunch at local restaurant. Birth place
of Lord Buddha. A holy pilgrimage for the Buddhists. The places of
interest- The Maya Devi temple ( Named after Mother of Lord Buddha
is the holy spot where he was born), The Ashokan Pillar, Pushkarini:
The Sacred pool. Lunch at Nirvana hotel. Proceed for Sravasti which
was an active center of Buddhism. Lord Buddha spent 25 rainy seasons
and delivered his sermons. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 03 -
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit
to Sahet and Mahet where Lord Buddha performed his Miracle sitting
on a petalled Lotus multiplying 1000 times. Proceed for Kushinagar
where Lord Buddha breathed his last and was cremated. Lunch at
hotel. Sightseeing of Mahaparinirvana temple & Rambhar Stupa. Dinner
and overnight at hotel.
Day 04 -
After breakfast proceed to Patna.
Enroute visit Vaishali the Birth place Lord Mahavira Founder of
Jainism. Carrying packed lunch . Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 05 -
Proceed for Bodhgaya. Enroute visiting
Rajgir where the first Buddhist Council was held after Lord Buddha
attained nirvana. and Nalanda which was a great Buddhist centre. Now
only the Great Stupa, terraces etc remain. Lunch at hotel. Proceed
for Bodhgaya where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. visit the
Stupa and the various monasteries, Mahabodhi Temple built by Ashoka
the Great in 3rd century B.C. One can visit the Sacred Bodhi Tree
(descendant of the Bo tree under which Lord Buddha attained
enlightenment). Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 06 -
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to
Varanasi the 'Eternal city'. The eternal city is situated on the
banks of sacred Ganges. Afternoon visit to Sarnath where Lord
Buddha gave his first sermon. The attractions are Dhamekh Stupa
built in 500 A.D, Ashokan pillar, the Museum etc. Dinner and
overnight at hotel.
Day 07 -
Early morning boat ride on river
Ganges and watch people taking holy dip & worship the rising Sun.
Visit the various temples of the Hindu god & goddess. Breakfast at
hotel. Transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. On arrival
transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 08 -
After breakfast visit the Capital
City - Delhi which is divided into two parts Old Delhi- the walled
city where one can visit Red Fort (part of the history) & the
narrow lanes of Chandini Chowk a crowded market. After lunch at
hotel visit New Delhi - Lutyen's Delhi the architect who planned
it for the British-Rastrapati Bhavan, Parliament, India Gate
(Memorial for the martyr's) Qutab Minar (first Mosque in India)
National Museum.Transfer departure to airport to board flight for
onward destination.
