Day 01 -
On arrival meeting assistance and
transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 - After
breakfast proceed to Agra. On arrival transfer to hotel. Lunch at
hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of the city. Agra is famous for it's
most magnificent monument - The Taj Mahal. Emperor Shahjahan built
for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is amazingly graceful with the
semiprecious stones inlaid into the intricately marble designed
patterns. Agra fort is a fascinating fort worth seeing Dinner &
overnight at hotel.
Day 03 -
After breakfast proceed to
Sankasya with packed lunch. Lord Buddha descended from Heaven to
earth after preaching his mother. Proceed to Allahabad Religious
city situated at the confluence of Ganga and Yanuna and the
invisible Saraswati. On arrival transfer to hotel. Dinner and
overnight at hotel.
Day 04 -
After breakfast proceed for Varanasi.
Enroute visiting Kausambi an ancient Buddhist center. Lunch at
hotel. Afternoon visit Sarnath, where Lord Buddha gave his first
sermon. The attractions are Dhamekh Stupa built in 500 A.D, Ashokan
pillar & the Museum Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 05 -
Early morning boat ride on river
Ganges and watch people taking holy dip & worship the rising Sun.
Visit the various temples of the Hindu god & goddess. Breakfast at
hotel. Proceed to Bodhgaya where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.
On arrival lunch at hotel. Afternoon visit the Stupa and the
Mahabodhi Temple built by Ashoka the Great in 3rd century BC One can
visit the Sacred Bodhi Tree .Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 06 -
After breakfast proceed Rajgir where
the first Buddhist Council was held after Lord Buddha attained
nirvana. Morning free at leisure. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon
sightseeing of Bimbisara Jail, Venuvan Hot Spring. Dinner and
overnight at hotel.
Day 07 -
Early morning visit to see Sunrise
and offer Prayer. After breakfast proceed to Patna. Enroute
sightseeing of Nalanda which was a great Buddhist center. And
Kumrahar capital of Ashoka, one can see the remnants of Buddhist
Monastery. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon visit to Patna museum. dinner
and overnight at hotel.
Day 08 -
After breakfast proceed to
Kushinagar with packed lunch, where Lord Buddha breathed his last
and was cremated. Enroute visit Vaishali (birth place of Lord
Mahaveera -founder of Jainism) On arrival visit to Mahaparinirwana
Temple, Rambhar Stupa. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 09 - After Breakfast
Proceed to Lumbini. Birth place of Lord Buddha The places of
interest- The Maya Devi temple (Named after Mother of Lord Buddha
is the holy spot where he was born), The Ashokan Pillar,
Pushkarini: The Sacred pool. Lunch at Hokke hotel. Proceed for
Sravasti where Lord Buddha spent 25 rainy seasons and delivered
his sermons. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 10 -
After breakfast visit to Sahet and
Mahet where Lord Buddha performed his Miracle sitting on a
petalled Lotus multiplying 1000 times. Procced to Lucknow carrying
packed Lunch. On arrival transfer to railway station to board
train for Delhi. Dinner on board. On arrival transfer to hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 -
After breakfast visit the Capital
City - Delhi which is divided into two parts Old Delhi- the walled
city where one can visit Red Fort (part of the history) & the
narrow lanes of Chandini Chowk a crowded market & New Delhi -
Lutyen's Delhi the architect who planned it for the British-Rastrapati
Bhavan, Parliament, India Gate (Memorial for the martyr's) Qutab
Minar (first Mosque in India) National Museum. Transfer departure
to airport to board flight for onward destination.
