Set in a sprawling kinnow orchard, Citrus County promises to be a warm, homely and luxurious getaway that will show you a side of India that the average tourist rarely gets to experience.

Around hoshiarpur guests have an option to go to Amritsar or to Anandpur Sahib for the day to experience the sikh history.

Citrus County offers 4 guest suites within the house and 6 luxury tents that ensure the privacy and comfort of home.

Each spacious room within the house features views of either the pool or the lush garden. The bedrooms each have a King Sized bed, an attached private bathroom and some sitting space both within the bedrooms and in a lobby immediately outside the rooms. Each of the fully air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a TV, wireless broadband internet and oil heaters.

The tents are similarly equipped, including attached bathrooms, however to keep the true spirit of tented accommodation alive we have opted not to install televisions in the tents.

The bathrooms are large, clean and have running hot and cold water as well as rain showers.

Citrus County has its own power backup.

Citrus Café in the front lawn. A cozy little tent where you can get your choice of light snacks and beverages served throughout the day.

Food :

All the meals are prepared in the family kitchen using fresh organic vegetables and age old recipes. You will get to sample a lot of the local cuisine, spiced to suit the preferences of our guests. House specialties include mutton curry, chicken achari, tandoori fish and authentic biryani. The vegetarians among our guests will be able savour a variety of delicately flavoured paneer dishes, such as Paneer Makhani, Kadhai Paneer and Malai Kofta. Punjabi meals are family affairs, which for our guests, essentially means that dining and refreshments will be served in a common area. Chhota hazari is the one exception, where a cup of tea/coffee in bed is almost a requirement.

Our kitchen does not cater to independent room serviced meals.

Activities :

Activities on the property itself

• Feel free to ask us for a guided walk through the farm and even join us picking some fruit during the season (November through February).
• Within the main house there is opportunity to curl up with a book by a cosy traditional fireplace.
• While for those more actively inclined there is a swimming pool and table tennis.
• In the evenings we'll have a citrus-wood bonfire around which meals can be served, camp songs sung or you can just soak in the ambience.
• You can also try your hand at some Bhangra, a typical Punjabi folk dance. We can arrange a performance and lessons on request.

Safari :

One of the highlights of your stay with us is a chance to go on a safari through one of Punjab's few protected forests. Home to fauna such as monkeys, rabbits, sambar, wild boar, blue bull, barking deer and the occasional panther. This is an opportunity you're not going to get anywhere else.
